Positive: Lovely newly renovated large apartment in the center of the village. Three large bedrooms, two bathrooms, very well equipped kitchen, and separate living room make it easy to accommodate six comfortably. Close to both Castelo Branco and the Serra da Estrela. Owner was friendly, easy to communicate with, helpful when we needed it, and brought fresh bread both days!

Negative: One potential problem for those with mobility problems: the apartment is located on the third floor and there is no elevator.

Summary: Great option for a well-priced and comfortable place to stay while exploring the Serra da Estrela

Positive: We booked this apartment at the last minute when other booked apartments suddenly completely lost power. The hostess confirmed the booking instantly and was very welcoming. We are glad we ended up here on our way to Monsanto from Lisbon. This is a spacious, extra-clean, modern apartment with all amenities, freshly renovated, comfortable beds, modern appliances, fully equipped kitchen and air conditioning. We felt at home here.

Negative: Be prepared that this is a 3rd floor apartment in a building with no elevator. For us this was not a disadvantage.
