Positive: What a special place, right on Lake Kivu. We feel lucky to have spent a weekend with family and friends here. Playing games, cooking and enjoying the lakeside views. Would highly recommend and plan to return.

The architecture, the decoration, the respect of the traditional patterns, the appliance, the garden (OMG, the garden is Heaven), everything is more than perfect. But what makes Murugo Bay so special, is the team who makes you stay unforgettable. Kind, discrete, reliable, anticipative, always at your disposal, the most adorable persons in the whole area. A very special shout out for Arsene, our host, who made us feel truly welcomed and who helped us day and night with so much kindness and dedication. Thank you so much to all of you ! We love you.

Positive: We stayed at Murugo Bay for two nights and had a really great experience. Everything was smooth from the start, with clear and helpful communication during booking, a warm welcome on arrival, and thoughtful follow-up after we left. The place itself was very clean, and the staff clearly put effort into maintaining that standard throughout our stay. The bedrooms were comfortable, the bathrooms were modern and well-designed, and the kitchen stood out in particular. It was easily the most well-equipped kitchen we’ve come across and had everything we needed and more! What really stood out was how peaceful the setting is. Being surrounded by nature while still enjoying such comfortable, well-designed accommodation made it easy to fully relax. The design of the space is also very thoughtful, with beautiful natural details! I highly recommend Murugo Bay to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-cared-for getaway. I already can’t wait to come back!
