Truly stunning detached stone cottage situated within walking distance to Ballyconneely Village along the Wild Atlantic Way.
This stylish cottage has been refurbished to a high standard offering a perfect retreat for couples seeking a romantic getaway or a family wanting to embrace all that Connemara has to offer.
The cottage makes a perfect escape for holidaymakers who have a passion for nature, wildlife, beachcombers, roaming the Connemara hills & mountains and food lovers.
Upon entering the semi-open plan reception, kitchen & dining area you are struck by the ambient natural light beaming from the large windows and patio doors. The reception room/dining & kitchen are separated by a large stone-fronted chimney breast housing a wood-burning stove making the cottage warm and cosy to enjoy after a fun-filled day touring all Connemara has to offer.
The reception area houses 2 comfy 3 x 2 seater sofas and a coffee table on wooden flooring. Opening to a bright dining area with table seating up to 6 guests, sliding doors leading to the communal gardens with fabulous countryside & lake views. The kitchen is fully equipped offering all mod cons, electric oven & hob, toaster, and coffee machine. The washing machine is housed in the shed beside the cottage.
Bedroom 1: The master bedroom offers a double bed with a wooden headboard, 2 windows overlooking the communal area and carpet flooring.
Ensuite bathroom comprising of a bath with shower overhead, WC & sink unit.
Bedroom 2: Twin bedroom offering 2 single trundle beds (pull-out single mattress underneath i.e 4 single beds – ideal for children). Window to the front of the cottage.
Bedroom 3: Bunk beds with carpet flooring & window to the front of the cottage.
Main bathroom: Three-piece suite comprising of bath with shower overhead, WC & sink unit.

Summary: Wonderful stay in Ballyconneely at the end of August. Great location, within walking distance of Keoghs pub and supermarket. Great base for touring Connemara, and amazing beaches on your doorstep.

Summary: Everything was excellent but we did feel the kitchen lacks some simple things like a teapot and bowls for a salad. Last year we bought egg cups and left them there so thankfully they were still there! A great house otherwise and well worth renting.

Summary: We really enjoyed our short stay here! Very well equipped and comfortable home just outside the village of Ballyconneely and close to lots of beautiful beaches. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Summary: We had a really enjoyable stay at 9 Murlach Moorings in Ballyconneely. Mary was great and going beyond the call of duty taking our clothes in off the line to avoid a rain shower. It would only happen in the West!!! Thanks

Summary: We recently had a lovely stay in this beautiful part of the world. This house is tastefully presented and very comfortable with some nice touches like a Nespresso machine, good linen and towels. Only minor quibbles: we weren’t told the number of the house and I had asked for a note of what would be there and what wouldn’t in terms of basics but didn’t receive that. Would stay again.
