Positive: Location is wonderful on the northern outskirts of Kathmandu, where you can see local people in a vibrant village situation includes a nearby popular Hindu "Sleeping Vishnu" temple area to visit. I originally choose here for its nature by a very short ride/ drive to main entrance of the Shivapuri forest national park for hiking to a choice of destinations. This hilly forest park provides essential services by producing much of the fresh air and water sources for Kathmandu city. Nice meals can be ordered on the 'menu' from the host with dinner time shared with the host adult family who are welcoming. The Homestay has 4 levels; first floor for guestrooms, third level for eating & has a 'puja' meditation/ yoga room accessible to guests and has beautiful rooftop views. I would recommend at least a 3-night stay here and enjoy the refreshing difference from the otherwise amazing Kathmandu city!

Negative: My bed was too hard for me. The main host, Nima, is going to find a softer overlay option for future guests.

Positive: Great homestay with a lovely family! We enjoyed Nimas and Mumas great cooking every evening, always freshly prepared with seasonal vegetables. It was the best Dal Bhat we had in Nepal! The rooms are clean and spacious. As we were volunteering at a a nearby school, we stayed for 5 weeks and loved sharing precious moments with Nima and her family, for example celebrating Tihar or cooking together. Thank you for making us feel at home and very welcomed!

Positive: Nima, Muma and their family are really welcoming. Nima speaks a good English and she helped us with precious advices. The rooms are clean and nice and we felt comfortable in the different spaces of the house. The food is really good, we tried "Timomos", Showmen, Dhalbat etc. and Nima managed to adjust to our kids tastes. The neighbourhood is a bit higher that Kathmandu center (more fresh air), it's authentic and we felt secure. The temple is worth to see (5 minutes by feet), especially early in the morning. Thank you Nima, Muma and your family!

Negative: Buddhanilkantha is not close from Kathmandu center, so the distances can be long.

Positive: Peacefull, clean and confortable. We enjoyed our stay a lot, the terrasse is so nice with the view, the green area, and the food was just amazing, fresh and tasty ! Muma and Nima made our stay really great and were really helpful. My son of 7 years old really enjoyed also. I recommand++.
