Large patio around pool with 12 loungers and seating which is well lit at night. Giant parasols for shade and adjacent barn to escape from sun.
We have added seating capacity outside so that up to 20 people can eat together al fresco.

LOCATION
Aubais is a highly sought after village mid-way between Montpellier and Nimes, 30 minutes away from the beaches and 30 minutes away from the mountains by car. It is easily reached from the A9 motorway (10 minutes away) with a range of airports and TGV stations close by (see below).
Within easy walking distance of the house, there is a restaurant, a pizza takeaway, a cafe, a boulangerie, a general store, a pharmacist, a tabac, a post office, a cashpoint, a hairdressers and a medical centre. There is a river beach on the Vidourle by a medieval water mill a 5 minute bike ride away and major commercial centres at Sommieres and at Lunel, both only 10 minutes by car. Sommieres is well-known for its bustling Saturday market and its beautiful narrow streets approached by a Roman bridge still in use today.
The house sits in gardens which are completely enclosed and private, providing an oasis of calm right in the centre of the village. The gardener calls it 'Le Paradis'! Over the road from the main gates to the house, in the village communal area, a food market comes every Tuesday. Here can also be found a children's play area, a pétanque arena, a basketball court and a skateboard park. Through the summer, there are often events with music and food.
THE PROPERTY
Aubais Paradis (for more details go to aubaisparadis.com) is perfectly set up for multi-family / group holidays. In our experience, such holidays work best when everyone has their own space and chooses to spend time together rather than being forced to. For instance, there are four separate eating areas, two indoors and two outdoors, each of which can accommodate 10-12 people, two separate buildings with sleeping accommodation and five separate lounge areas. We have recently added more outdoor seating so that up to 20 people can sit and eat together.

MAIN HOUSE (sleeps up to 13):
Ground floor:
● Kitchen with doors onto patio with La Cornue range (hob, two ovens), fridge freezer, dishwasher, pantry, microwave, and seating for up to 10 people.
● Lounge with double doors onto kitchen. Equipped with large HDTV, Blu-ray player, Apple TV and Orange TV (French cable TV)
● Toilet off the lounge
● Double bedroom with en suite bathroom. 1 x double bed.
● Laundry (attached to house but accessed through separate entrance making it equally accessible to the gite) with 2 x washing machine, tumble drier, sink, iron, ironing board and drying stands.
First floor:
● Master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and dressing room. Air con. 1 x super king size bed.
● Study with large desk and a quiet seating area with four armchairs around a coffee table.
● Double bedroom with en suite bathroom. Air con. 1 x double bed.
● Balcony overlooking the gardens with table and two chairs.
Second floor:
● Double bedroom with en suite bathroom. 1 x king size bed; 1 x single bed. Air con.
● Double bedroom with en suite bathroom. 2 x super king size bed. Air con.
● Play room with pool table and gym equipment including rowing machine and weights.
GÎTE (sleeps 6):
Open plan ground floor in three areas:
● Fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven, dishwasher, large fridge and large freezer.
● Dining area with seating for 10 people.
● Lounge area with HDTV and Playstation 3.
First floor:
● Double bedroom with en suite bathroom. 1 x king size bed.
● Double bedroom with en suite bathroom. 1 x double bed.
● Double bedroom with en suite bathroom. 2 x single bed.
POOL HOUSE:
Ground floor:
● Bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet
● Large room with storage for games and pool toys
Mezzanine:
● Den with HDTV and Playstation 2.
BARN:
Opening through to the pool on one side and to the gardens on another, this is a wonderful place to relax and take shelter from the sun. There is seating around a table for 12, a table tennis table, table football and a darts board.
SWIMMING POOL
The pool has been enlarged and replaced for this year (2020) and is 12m x 6m. It is UV filtered (so kinder on the eyes than chlorine, kinder on the environment and gives drinking quality water) and has an motorised slatted cover which is easy to put on and off. There is a paved area around the perimeter of the pool which is ideal for sun loungers, of which there are 12. NB we provide a large pool towel for each guest (as well as house towels).
GARAGE
The garage houses 6 adult bikes, 1 youth bike, one child bike and one tow along bike which you are free to use. Helmets and locks are also provided. There is a bicycle shop nearby in Calvisson from which you can easily hire more bikes, should you require them.
GARDENS
There are two lawned areas, a cobbled area for parking and a gravelled area between the main house and the gîte. The gravelled area is perfect for badminton (net and racquets provided) and has two outdoor tables so that all guests can sit and eat together - for which there are two Weber BBQs. Just next to the table is a fountain making for a lovely relaxed atmosphere during meals. 3/4 cars can be parked within the grounds of the property behind closed (motorised) gates.
Over the road from the property, there is a children's play area with obstacle course, a pétanque arena, a basketball court and a skateboard park. There is also free parking and an electric charging point for cars.
OTHER
There is WiFi throughout the main house, gite and gardens.
All bedrooms (main house and gite) have insect screens on the windows, should you wish to leave them open. There are fans in the gite bedrooms.
Pool towels are provided.
Minimum stay is a week. Arrival 17:00 - 19:00. Departure by 10:00.
Bedding and towels changed weekly. Garden and pool tended / cleaned weekly.
There is a variety of games for the PS2 but please bring your own games for the PS3.
There is a small library of books available to read.
There is a selection of DVDs to watch. You can also use the Apple TV if you have an apple id.
GETTING THERE
Airports at Montpellier (30 minutes), Nimes (30 minutes), Beziers (60 minutes) and Marseille (75 minutes). Easyjet flies direct to Montpellier from Gatwick throughout the year.
TGV stations at Montpellier (30 minutes), Nimes (30 minutes) and Avignon (60 minutes). You can take a train direct to Avignon from London St Pancras.
Normal train station at Gallargues (5 minutes) or Lunel (10 minutes).
