Positive: This fabulously expansive Barn conversion reads like an instruction manual on how holiday rentals should be presented. The build and decor of the place itself are both superb. Some serious thought has gone into the layout of the place and one is constantly surprised and delighted with elegant, clever and sophisticated little touches, striking a really happy balance between evidence of a family getaway that's really cared for and loved by the owners on the one hand, but run as an efficient business on the other. Mowhay Barn is quite easily big enough for two families to get together, without getting on each others' nerves. Starting with the huge kitchen, with every cupboard and drawer helpfully labeled, you'll not need to bring a single one of your own appliances with you - it has everything. We accidentally left behind our coffee flask because it blended in so well. The upstairs is cleverly laid out so that the two "main" bedrooms are at opposite ends, so the children's rooms can fill up the space between hem. Exceedingly comfortable beds and numerous charming touches, clean, quality towels and comfortable bed linen. Downstairs, and you'll spend a good morning working out how you're going to occupy the whole place. There's room for two families to eat in the kitchen, plus a large outdoor terrace for when the sun comes out. Smaller breakfast gatherings can take place in the conservatory, which catches the morning sun. There's three lounges, a large room in the extension, plus two others, each with a TV - so you can get some "me" time if you need it. If you'd like to get away from the rest, then there's a summer house too, with deck chairs. Set right up at the top end of the garden, you can catch the final rays of the sun up hear, with the building warming up even on fresh spring days. Rounding off the whole experience is the large hot tub.

Negative: We cannot fault this terrific property. It's a shame it's not further from the road - but you'd really need to be idiotically myopic to consider that an issue when the property is idyllic as this.
