Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Superb location. The riverside mill is extremely picturesque. It is tastefully decorated blending old-world charm with modern comfort and convenience. Nothing is too much trouble for Michel (the owner), who came out in the cold/wet dark night to escort us to the property as we got horribly lost down an old track with fallen trees barring the way! It was so lovely to get into the apartment where a warm log-burning stove made for a cosy welcome. A bottle of rose wine, some chocolates, and freshly picked walnuts soon made us feel relaxed and ready to enjoy the rest of the stay. There are lovely riverside walks and at this time of year, it's very quiet and peaceful. We only stayed 2 nights en route back home but would definitely like to return and stay longer,

Negative: Nothing to dislike.

Summary: perfect host, perfect apartment; rural idyl.
