Positive: The host Keiko is fantastic. She was super attentive and could feel and see her attention to detail to all aspects. Especially with her cooking is exceptional. I don't need to say anything more, you need to stop and stay at Motomiya to experience it.

Positive: The food was delicious. Our room was beautiful. The shared showers and toilets were clean and close by. There were two other rooms, so it was quiet. Our host was delightful and gracious. The surrounding area is gorgeous. I couldn’t say enough great things about this place. Full of love and warmth. Full of care and beauty.

Positive: Cozy and super comfortable Japanese futon mats for sleeping. Simple yet delicious healthy food!!! One of the best we’ve had in Japan. The ryokan’s owner is a sweet lady. Love her family’s hospitality. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Negative: A bit chilly in rooms and having to share bathrooms. But there are only 3 guest rooms total so it was not super inconvenient. The chilliness cannot be helped bc of the original construction of traditional home and the bedding kept us comfortably warm at night.

Summary: Highly reccomend—we had a lovely time
