Summary: If you do not drive, it is definitely the best location to stay in Stege. The hotel personal are super nice and friendly. After a long day walk in the cold weather, you would expect nothing but than a warm room. And the room has a small kitchen, so actually you get more than just a motel room.

Summary: The back-street location tests your sat-nav, as does the narrow access point. Key pick-up is via a locked box which you are given the combination to with the keys in labelled envelopes. We were in the main block with 6 rooms around a communal kitchen area, there are also 6 independant rooms. The communal area feels a bit like a Youth Hostel and is well equiped; whether you end up talking to other guests beyond a quick "go-morgen" is up to you. The rooms have a part mezzanine floor with 2/3 beds upstairs, plenty of space overall but a little inconvenient with a large table and two chairs. Anyone sleeping upstairs needs be confident up and down ladders.
