Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location was fine, nothing more, and the room was simple but did the job. What really stood out was the staff, who were lovely throughout the stay. The receptionist was exceptionally kind, explained everything in great detail, and gave us very precise recommendations about the village and what to see in the surrounding area.

Negative: It was quite noisy, as a train line runs right in front of the property with regular traffic passing by. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, since it had no proper base — just a board under a springless mattress. Combined with very thin pillows, this made for a very poor night’s sleep.

Summary: Friendly staff, but poor rest due to noise and an uncomfortable bed
