Positive: We normally have a great experience here, and have stayed here many many times over the years when visiting the area. The value is always excellent for what you get. Rooms have always been clean, and the front desk staff is always friendly. I will be sure to check that there is a security latch in the future so that housekeeping is not able to walk in unannounced before checkout time or at least make sure we are fully dressed by 9 if not.

Negative: Last time, the toilet in our room was broken and this time there was only a regular lock, no security latch on our room which made for an awkward experience when housekeeping opened the door without warning at 9:30AM. Check out is at 11, but they will just walk in without notice anywhere starting from 9 up until 11. That wouldn't be a problem if the room had a security latch, and all previous rooms we've had here have had one.

Negative: The ac unit was horribly loud. I couldn't possibly sleep. After a couple hours I simply turned it off. As it got warmer, my husband turned it back on. It was very quiet from then on! I should have "reset" it earlier!

Positive: The location is great. Multiple beaches within one hour. The location was easily accessible. If you like a small town feel, you'll love Winnie

Negative: The first room I was assigned did not have a working air conditioner. I was moved to another room with AC. The room was semi clean. There was old food in the microwave, I had to adjust the weather stripping on the fridge door so it would close and the toilet water ran all the time unless you lifted the broken lever in the tank.
