Positive: This was my favourite stay of sixteen across our Camino walk. The family who own the house are so welcoming, there's an awesome kitchen, great showers and a SWIMMING POOL! Oh - and decent laundry facilities with a drying terrace.

Negative: Couldn't really be improved - a little oasis.

Positive: Marcelo was warm and welcoming and made me feel at home from the first. He and his wife have a beautiful home in a beautiful town, and they are generous in sharing both. The tour of the house came with recommendations and directions to neighborhood cafes, restaurants, bars and bakeries. I found the bedroom cosy and comfortable, the bathrooms clean and spacious, and the large common areas -- including a full kitchen -- thoughtfully assembled with anything a guest might want. There are thoughtful little touches throughout the house that make it clear that the hosts have your comfort in mind. The pool looked lovely though I didn't get a chance to take a dip. If I had more time in town, I would have loved to spend a lazy afternoon in the garden with a book and a cup of tea. Instead, I visited the nearby beach at Marcelo's suggestion and was awestruck by the incredible local geology. If you enjoy slow travel and the warmth of human connection, you will love Morada do Ultramar.

Positive: The welcome. We had a tour and were shown where everything was. Our hosts were friendly, welcoming and informative whilst also leaving us to relax. We had a Camino rest day here, used the washing machine, (small fee) and hung our laundry in the sunshine. We visited the well stocked shop and had coffee at the little bakery. We cooked in the evenings in the large communal kitchen. We didn’t use the pool but did relax in the garden.

Negative: The basement kitchen is perhaps a little tired but charming nonetheless.
