Positive: We stayed at Moonshine cottage for our family Christmas break (our daughter is a vet in the area and was on call so couldn’t make it to us, so we decided to visit her instead). Very pleasant cottage with lots of amenities and lovely view (Very similar to ours so it looked like a home from home) – Under floor heating was very good although a little difficult to control. Nice to have a secured fence around the property for our dog. Seating was very comfortable and dining / kitchen area was very well equipped and very clean. Pam and Hugh put lights on the outside and we were able to have a real Christmas tree in the lounge and we decorated the rooms for that extra Christmassy feel (with full respect of the property not being ours) Really enjoyed our visit and had a lovely Christmas.

Negative: Main issue for us was the bathroom and shower area. Couldn’t really understand why these amenities were downstairs. It was a nuisance to have to keep bringing clothing etc. Downstairs to use the bath / shower and have to go back up stairs to dry hair etc. Whilst there were toilets sinks in the bedrooms, it would have been so much better to have even a small shower in there (there was plenty of space to fit these). Radiator in our bedroom was very noisy during the early hours of the morning. The shower downstairs was also unheated and was very cold to wash in there but perhaps we didn’t have the heat setting in lobby correct. It would have been a great help to have a shelf of some kind in the shower, nowhere to put washing items. The TV was also very small for such a large area, not a major issue under normal circumstances, but would be nice to have a larger T.V especially for Christmas. These were not major issues but thought it necessary to feedback this.
