Positive: Darren is very helpful and welcoming. The guesthouse is in a great location, far enough away from Don Det village to be quiet, but not too far. Plenty of good restaurants nearby for dinner and breakfast, and it's an ideal place for sunset. Darren helped move my bags to the next place.

Positive: Darren is an excellent host, very helpful and available. Beautiful garden with mango tree. Great place to hang out and relax. Had all we needed in the room; limitless fresh drinking water, a stocked fridge, hot water, and good air conditioning. Highly recommend.

Positive: Darren was an excellent host, he helped us out a few times especially when we were leaving as our bus company had not organised any transport for us to get to the boat nor a boat to get back to Don Det. With him speaking Lao he organised it all for us & took us on his bike 1 by 1 to the boat ramp so that we could finally catch our bus to Siem Reap. Extremely helpful.

Positive: Kind owner couldn't do enough for us. Genuinely cold water in the filter which is free. Worth noting this is a little guesthouse off the beaten track, as with everything on the island. High ratings are not for luxury, but for luxury in backpacking terms. If you're a backpacker, this is a very clean, very nice stay

Negative: There is an early check in fee, which is a little annoying since you've no control over arrival since the ferries over are controlled by locals. I totally understand, cost of air con is noticeable. But it was frustrating.
