Positive: My hosts, Tiago and Dora, have made the property even more fabulous than it already is. They’re willingness to share things to see and do and how to get there is such a great help.”My Nest” here has been absolutely wonderful with an amazing view of the castle, fully lit in the evening, and beyond. Magical. The Christmas holiday decorating is in full swing. It was very fun to watch as each little shop prides itself in making a sweet display. It is a short walking distance to the castle and it’s a nice walk to see all of the homes along the way. My camera got a very good workout the entire time. Everything that you could need to have a great time inside is here. A full kitchen with all cooking necessities, a comfy living room with big TV, dining area, table, and that fabulous view, a small bathroom with a great shower, and a cozy bedroom with wonderful bedding and again that view. There is both heating and air. Not easy to find. Parking is right outside of the door, literally. Also not easy to find. Yummy treats, a bottle of wine and his mom’s homemade ginjinha (the best I’ve ever had) were all ready for me when I arrived. This is my eighth Airbnb in Portugal and absolutely at the top of the list. 10+. So great, as a matter of fact, I extended my stay. I just don’t want to leave. You will love Mood Lodging. The owners are the absolute best and they are on site.

Negative: That I couldn’t stay longer. It was rainy the first few days, but then was quite pleasant.

Positive: Fabulous apartment in a wonderful location. Free parking right outside the door and a short walk to the old town. Fabulous views from the little balcony over the castle and town walls. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and very comfortable. Dora and Tiago, the owners, met us on arrival and were so welcoming, spending time to tell us about the town, what to see and where to eat. They also give you a weblink to a really useful site with lots of information which they have set up. Such a warm welcome was so nice. A little bottle of the local cherry liqueur and some biscuits were also left for us to try. The apartment was very quiet and we absolutely loved our stay there. I would highly recommend staying here or at one of the other Mood lodgings if you want a great location, great hospitality from wonderful hosts and a comfortable, tastefully decorated place to stay.

Negative: There was nothing to dislike!

Positive: Fantastic location right outside the walled city of Obidos. The host, Tiago, was a wealth of information and made sure that you had a great understanding of options for how to spend your time in the area. The pictures of the property are accurate which I always appreciate. The restaurant and other recommendations provided were spot on. The host experience at this property is exactly what you wish for every where you travel!

Negative: For me, perhaps somewhat more comfortable pillows but that is so minor I almost hesitated to include this here.
