Summary: Great trip to Gering! Our stay at Monuments was without incident, which was appreciated after a long day on the road. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a bit spartan but the necessities were met and I enjoyed it very much.

Summary: Check-in was quick and easy. Hotel is old and outdated, even has popcorn ceilings. Bedsheets, bathroom, carpets, etc are all old and worn out. This hotel needs a SERIOUS renovation. Couldn't figure out how to get the shower to work so my wife and I were stuck taking baths instead. Breakfast was disappointing, mainly because I don't think they had the staffing necessary. Tables weren't being wiped down, food wasn't being replenished, I think they even ran out of silverware at one point. No one was at the front desk when we wanted to check out, so we just left our room keys on the counter and left. Only stayed one night, and I'm glad we didn't need to stay longer than that.

Summary: Room was a bit dusty when we arrived. This property shows some wear, but the staff were friendly and efficient. The kitchenette area was nice with a good sized mini fridge and microwave. The breakfast was excellent, with fresh cooked eggs and French toast. Location was great for visiting the National Monument.

Summary: Flat pillows, lumpy mattress…didn’t sleep well. Had to call for service at check in, but didn’t wait long. Once staff arrived, she was very friendly and helpful!

Summary: When i booked the room i did so with the understanding that i could use their meeting room for my daughters graduation party FOR FREE, no additional charge. When i checked into my room rhey gave me cards to get into meeting room and i again clarified that the meeting room was free of charge. After returning from my daughter graduation ceremony with 30 minutes before my guests were to show up i found a note under my hotel room door, hand written and not an invoice but sumply saying i needed tongo down to lobby to pay for meeting room. I was livid. When i talked to them they said it was $250.00 and this was 5 minutes before my guests started arriving. In fact cake had arrived while i was talking to the front desk. I told them i was not paying the money as they told me it was free. Without my consent or an incoice they charged on my credit card $137.00. I am now deliverating the charge. Additionally, i had ordered a queen suite and the day i arrived they put me in a queen double. I made them switch me to a suite. They lady at front desk said it would be an additional $10 per day. I was there 2 days...so $20. They charged me an additional 100.00.

Summary: they charged more for the room to our credit card than hotels.com said they were supposed to charge without our permission it was there hospitality fee and refused to make it right. Will never stay t this thieving motel again
