Positive: Staying at Mirta and Alberto’s house was simply wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with hot coffee and homemade sweets – such a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for our stay. Everything was perfect, from the warm welcome to the very last day. Breakfast was a real highlight: varied, delicious, with homemade treats and a lovely local touch. What made the stay truly special was how Mirta and Alberto looked after us with such care, always making sure we had everything we needed. The house is spacious and cozy, with plenty of room for a family, so we felt comfortable and at home throughout our stay. It felt like more than just accommodation, it was a real immersion into local life. The pool looked amazing too, even though it was early spring and we couldn’t use it. We left with the feeling of having visited friends, not just hosts.

Positive: Alberto and Mirta are lovely hosts who truly enjoy welcoming their guests and connecting with them. The space is private, through the garden at the back of the main house, and had plenty of space for a couple to be more than comfortable. Air conditioning on the hot summer days was definitely appreciated! And the home-made breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The area is not the most popular for tourism but really nice for a local feel. We would definitely stay here again, and if you are thinking of staying in the neighbourhood do not hesistate!

Positive: Incredible hospitality and lots of attention and care that we got from the hosts. The breakfast is exceptional! Lots of different foods, including the fresh fruit salad, fresh orange juice, yogurts, variety of bread, cheeses and meats, butter and sweet jams, cakes - so, it was more than we can handle, thank you so much! ) Garden is also incredible and very well maintained, as a pool. Big and comfy house that can easily host much more than 2 people.

Positive: As it was my first visit to Montevideo, I was apprehensive at first to commit to a ten-day stay with a host with no reviews. But within minutes of my stay (and discovering I was the first visitor for this host) I was fully convinced that the location, the accommodations, and the care taken in making sure I had the best possible experience were all absolutely unsurpassable. I cannot say enough for the host's hospitality and generosity. I learned more about the history and character of Uruguay than I ever expected. Absolutely outstanding. What an amazingly peaceful spot in the center of the bustling city! Overlooking Parque Batlle, with a quiet, secluded patio and garden, the feel was of a secret vacation getaway. The swimming pool proved to be perfectly refreshing after a six-hour bicycle ride in the sun along the coast on a beautiful late-autumn day. The apartment is outfitted with a full range of appliances and tableware. The bathroom is recently remodeled; two mini splits provide instant warmth and cooling on both levels. Security is well thought out. The generous and bountiful continental breakfasts started my day with a thankful heart and a peaceful mind. Not enough smiley faces for this reviewer. Definitely an A+ in my grade book.

Negative: The proximity to the football stadium in Parque Batlle means that on some evenings it can be somewhat noisy with the bedroom's balcony door open.
