Positive: The Monteverde House is a beautiful, new, well-appointed facility in a tropical garden. We loved the windows that provided lots of light and the front deck with its beautiful view and breathtaking sunsets. Our host was also very gracious and met us when we arrived.

Positive: Monteverde House is located very close to Curi Cancha reserve (they share almost the same entrance) and is very well located for Monteverde cloud forest reserve as well. We had an entire house to ourselves and it is equipped with everything you need including a washing machine which was the main reason we booked the stay. Our hosts were very helpful and responsive at all times. The house was clean and spacious. Due to location I'll note that the house is located at the top of some hills and you need a good car/SUV to get up there.

Negative: The bathroom lacks a mirror which was kind of unhelpful. It also had a strange smell sometimes but the room freshener was helpful.

Positive: We had a lovely stay. The host made us feel at home. She accommodated our request for early check in and welcomed us with fresh fruits. The house had everything we needed and was spotless clean. We really appreciated having a washing machine with a dryer for our use. We were lucky to get many animals to come visit us in the garden during our stay. We saw monkeys, tucans, humming birds and coatis among others.

Negative: House got surprisingly cold during the night but there were enough blankets to stay warm so that was not an issue. Kitchen was quite well equipped but was lacking cuttlery. We had some with us so it wasnt a problem. I am sure if you let the host know she will try to accommodate your request. We were asked to pay cash few days before our stay. It would probably be beneficial for some to know before booking it if you need to pay cash.

Positive: This isnt just a house, Marcela helped us with so many things. Our lugage was lost on our flight, marcela calmed us down, helped us with calls to the lugage department and after 3 days we got them back. Also becasue of this we arrived very late around 00.00 but she always kept in contact with us making sure we didnt have to worry about anything. The house itself is amazing! Right next to curi cancha and in the gardens around we saw keel billed toucans, hummingbirds and many more. We have stayed in alot of houses in alot of countrys but this was our best experience ever thanks to Marcela. If i could give 100/10 I would. Very clean and comfortable.

Negative: We liked everything about this place.

Positive: Marcela was very kind and welcoming and assisted us when we needed it :) The house is beautiful and cozy, with everything necessary in the kitchen and comfortable beds. The living space is also comfortable and practical, with a sofa, a dining table and kitchen, pretty in design and spotlessly clean. The washer-dryer was invaluable, especially in the humid climate, and the balcony-garden combination was magical! That morning coffee at the balcony table, watching colibris 30 cm away and breathing the garden air, that was one of my favourite spots in all this vacation.

Negative: Hot water balance can be tricky :) but not enough to destroy this place's magic

Positive: This large unit with 2 beds was exceptionally clean, modern and a cut above every place we have stayed so far in our 3 weeks in Costa Rica. As was the warm welcome we received along with complimentary fruit, traditional drink and food. This host was the nicest and most attentive we have met. Only a 15 min walk to the Curi Cancha reserve. And a washing machine! Which was one of the reasons we booked.

Negative: Our unit was close to the owners house with the balcony facing both out to the view and to their house

Negative: It did a bit cool at night. Blankets sufficient. No heaters.
