Positive: It was like visiting friends at their country house. Maria and Victor are lovely hosts who anticipated our every need. Breakfast was delicious, and we particularly enjoyed Maria's home made jams and Victor's coffee drinks. It was not far from the charming seaside town of Tavira, but their home is a completely different experience: a perfect place to relax and recharge!

Positive: I had a wonderful 5 days staying at Monte des Estrelas! It was a last minute booking and it was a fantastic find, a true gem. Maria and Vítor were the perfect hosts, so patient and friendly and attentive. They even cooked the most amazing 3 course meals on request, all local produce and absolutely delicious. The breakfasts were varied and charming - Maria certainly has a great eye for the aesthetic!Other than a trip to Tavira and a local hike to a waterfall which was beautiful (and thanks to Vítor for creating me a map) I spent all my time in the beautiful surroundings, walking, swimming, reading and resting, eating lovely food (perfectly paired with delicious wine). Such a relaxing trip. I would love to return one day. Thank you Maria and Vitor!

Positive: The location is wonderfully peaceful, nestled in the hills. The hosts are incredibly kind, enthusiastic, and helpful people who truly make you feel at home.

Negative: We stayed in the yurt. Everything was perfect. The only downside is that the toilet is in the same room where you sleep.

Summary: Top location with fantastic hosts, where we’d love to return on our next visit to the Algarve.

Positive: Really enjoyed the place: great location, amazing premises, spacious room and bathroom, and lovely breakfast outside. Maria João and her husband were perfect hosts, very welcoming and helpful. I am quite picky about the hotel’s cleanliness and this place was super clean and pleasant. The place includes a small trail for walk and a perfect spot for watching stars at night. We definitely would like to come back and recommend the place 100%.
