Monte Bacana is a part of a former farmstead, Monte de Santo Antonio de Cima, in the middle of a Nature Reserve (Parque Natural de ...Costa Vicentina). The ocean view of more or less 180 degrees is really stunning, including an unique sight over Sagres and the lighthouse tower at Cape St. Vincent. Monte Bacana is situated near the Long Distance Walking route "Via Algarviana" and the Long Distance Bike route "Ecovia do Algarve". Also, many migrating birds are to be seen and we have 20 different beaches in a radius of 20 kms! Most of these beaches are famous for various surf possibilities, sportsfishing and naturism. The region is also known for its special dishes. The prices are for two persons. Every extra person costs 20 euro per night more. Max. 5 p. There will be a discount if you book more than 13 nights. All questions will be answered if you just mail them to the owner.
We can now offer a so-called Power Swimspa (4,20 x 2.32 x 1,57 m3), but for an additional fee.
This is a mini pool equipped with counter-current pumps, which - when all of them are on - let you swim against the current so that you "never" reach the other side of the pool. Even without the pumps on, it is pleasant to stay in the water.
1 - the pool is too shallow for diving!
2 - There is no supervision, so you yourself are responsible for preventing accidents!
When you already have arrived and you want to use the Power Swimspa, we let fresh water in, which is then brought up to temperature. That takes possibly 2 x 24 hours. If you want to use the bath immediately after arrival, you must announce this well in advance, then it can be ready for you, full of heated water.
The costs are one-time 50 euros plus 15 euros per day, per 1 x freshly filled - and continuously heated - pool. NOTE: The use of the swimspa is only possible when the owner is present on site!

Summary: Thank you for letting us stay with you. They were very nice people to rent from, they were helpful and friendly. The house was perfect for me and my dog. The dog could be in the garden since it was fence round it. It was not far to the beaches and Sagres. Quit place to stay!

Summary: I can highly recommend this house. We spent a wonderful week, beaches are just a couple of minutes away and the landscape is fantastic. The house is fully equipped and clean. The house owners are very friendly and relaxed. We will come back :)
