"Overlooking Montargil Dam, Monte Novo Villas offers rooms and villas with a sophisticated décor and the opportunity to enjoy water sports activities. Villas are a 5-minute drive from Montargil village. Each unit at Monte Novo is air conditioned and includes flat-screen satellite TV. Villas also have a fully equipped kitchen and private pool; both rooms and villas have Continental Breakfast included, served in our restaurant for our room's guests and served in the privacy of the villas for our villas' guests. Guests of the villas can use the kitchen facilities to prepare meals or request Delivery service from our Restaurant at "Casa Redonda". Alternatively, guests can find restaurants serving traditional cuisine within a short drive, in Montargil or Mora, located 11 mi away. For water-related activities, the dam offers canoeing, fishing and water-skiing opportunities. Activities available on land include horse riding, hiking and mountain bike. Mora has a Fluviarium with several river fish species. Both Portalegre and Santarém cities are around 50 mi from Monte Novo Villas. Positive: The private pool and breakfast delivery were excellent

Negative: Sofas need updating as the seats were very hard and uncomfortable. AC didn’t really cope well in the bigger room and the kitchen didn’t have much surface area to prepare food.

Summary: Lovely and secluded. Peaceful with the added benefit of a restaurant onsite and lovely helpful staff.

Positive: Extremely nice staff, super relaxed and clean environment. Bedrooms were very comfortable and stylish, as well as the whole property. Great infinite-like pool space and direct access to the lake with the possibility of kayaking.

Negative: The lighting and isolation of the bathrooms could be slightly better.
