Positive: Absolutely loved our stay at Monolithia, it was far enough to avoid the crowds of the main villages but only a few minutes drive to Kamari and 30 mins to Oia by car. We had 2 small children with allergies and it was the perfect setup. There's a shop to buy groceries nearby. The pool is family sized but it was fine for us never crowded. Very Helpful staff

Negative: A car is a definite must if you want to explore. A bit nervous driving on the other side.

Positive: The area is very quiet. Except for the airport in the area. Less than a hundred meters away you have a store where you can find almost everything you need, except for the strictly necessary ones.

Negative: Without a rental car, there's nothing you can do in the area.The restaurants nearby are good but very expensive.

Positive: Good rooms and nice swimming pool. Mini market 3 minutes walk away and two good restaurants within 15/20 minutes walking distance.

Negative: The property is in an isolated place so for stays longer than one or 2 nights a car would be essential. The beaches here are unattractive.

Summary: We stayed 2 nights waiting for our flight so everything was good for us.

Positive: The host Maria was very helpful and accommodating. The room was spacious and the pool area was nice and quiet. The location was in the center of the island just next to the airport and easy to access all points. For us, the planes' noise was not distrurbing.

Negative: The room was a semi-basement apartment, with a double bed, a sofa that was used as a single bed and a camp bed. The beds were not comfortable at all for none of us. The room was lacking utencils, as we wanted to cook and eat in. If you just need 2-3 plates to eat a snack, the equipment will be fine for you. The cleaningness was average and during our 4 night stay, only some towels were changed, after our request (and not all of them).
