Positive: Beautiful historic property with authentic Deep South charm. Lovely surroundings, excellent dinner at Restaurant 1818, and very friendly front desk staff and dinner waiter.

Negative: Breakfast experience was disappointing due to the unpleasant attitude of the two ladies serving.

Positive: It was very quiet, relaxing. Everything was a short walk, which was convenient. The AC was ice cold :) and the water was HOT! Loved the complimentary breakfast

Negative: I wouldn’t say “didn’t like,” but the property just needs a little TLC. Some trimming of bushes, trees, and maybe some spray to kill the growing over of the weeds. Our curtains were also full of dust, but the bed drapes were fine. Huge light outside that shined towards our window so we had light coming through the cracks all night.

Positive: The grounds were relaxing. I’m sure the gardens are beautiful in summer. Flowers were just budding so I couldn’t experience the full effect when we were there. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Negative: Bathrooms could be upgraded. Tub was high sided jet tub which if you had mobility issues would be difficult to get in and out.

Positive: The staff was wonderful, and the food great!

Negative: Our fireplace did not work and fireplace was one of the main reason I choose this location. We were never informed of compensated for not having a fireplace. Our flat screen television had a discolored wide line through the screen. Which was a huge nuisance. We had to hold our arm in the air in order to get the remote control to work with the TV.
