Positive: The staff were incredibly warm, helpful and knowledgeable! They treated us like family! We were so comfortable and relaxed. The facilities were perfect. The natural surroundings were incredibly beautiful, quiet end peaceful but we were also close to Sougia.

Positive: It was remote and felt very zen. The room was huge and restful. One wall was completely sliding glass doors to a view of the mountains that was unbelievable. We had our own private pool and patio with lounging areas and table. You could order food and it was delivered to your room. The staff were exceptional.

Positive: We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the Monstery retreat and the simplicity and styling of the hotel. The staff were genuine and helpful in giving recommendations and advice and couldn’t fault the service. Little extra details such as oat milk being supplied was very much appreciated. The village taverna was outstanding and Monastery retreat an excellent base for visiting the south of Crete which was unspoilt and peaceful. Excellent base for hiking as well as visiting beaches. A car was helpful given the remoteness of the hotel and allowed us to explore the local area.

Negative: Parking could be slightly tricky when all guests in residence but a minor detail. The pool was too cold for my husband but I enjoyed it and was refreshing to cool off after our time in the sunshine.

Summary: An amazing tranquil location with high quality genuine service and attention to detail.

Positive: What a wonderful place to stay, surely the quality of the hotel and the staff are way above expectations!! We would go back as sokon as we can!!! We were there for a week after our wedding and we were so relaxed and feeling at home, we have great souvenirs from our stay! Efkaristo poly!
