Positive: The aqua park is excellent and was the highlight for our kids. Very clean, well designed, and enjoyable for both children and adults. The buffet food for breakfast and dinner was genuinely very good, better than many resorts we’ve stayed at. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, and once we settled in, the resort atmosphere was lively and family friendly. Most of the VR and arcade activities were included for us, which our children really enjoyed. Housekeeping responded well when we asked for water and cups and brought six large bottles, which we appreciated. Overall, the facilities themselves are strong and the resort has a lot of potential.

Negative: The check-in experience was very stressful and poorly handled. At arrival, there was confusion at the front desk about the number of guests. The receptionist misunderstood our passports and ID and thought we were five people instead of four, which took time to clarify. After that, he insisted the Booking.com reservation showed only two adults, even though the same room, same half board plan, and same price clearly apply for a family of four. I showed him the Booking.com process step by step on my phone several times, and he even held the phone himself, but he kept focusing on what the system showed instead of the confirmed price and room capacity. His tone and body language made us feel mistrusted rather than welcomed. We were then asked to wait while they contacted Booking.com, which took around 45 minutes, with tired children and no reassurance. This was especially frustrating because the issue appears to be a known Booking.com system behavior with family apartments, not a guest mistake. A simple reassurance and letting us go to the room while fixing it internally would have changed everything. This feels like more than a front desk issue. The reservation setup and staff training need improvement so guests are not put in this situation. Other things guests should know: the kitchenette has no cutlery or basic tools, so it’s not really usable unless you bring your own. The curtains are not blackout and do not fully cover the windows, so a lot of light comes in early. Communication via WhatsApp was confusing, with images and messages sent without clear explanations, and it was not always clear what activities were included versus paid. A few messages were about check-in and car valet service which was already processed. The WhatsApp group defeated its purpose, if the goal was to show care and support.

Positive: Friendly staff everywhere in the hotel. Cleanliness was very good.

Negative: One has to pay for many many things. All the activities (with the exception of the pool) have to be paid for. Eg; the activities within the adventure park (about £5 per person per activity), the individual games in the VR centre, the individual games in the arcade area (about £5 per activity) and trampolining (30mins about £15) and escape the room (£20 per person per game). Unless you pay for half board you'll end up paying for takeaway food, which is very expensive . They have a monopoly on this as there are no shops or restaurants outside the hotel. The nearest town is a few miles away and the hotel wont even book a taxi for you. You'll have to organise transport yourself. There aren't any cooking appliances like pots, pans, cutlery so cooking your own food is not possible (unless you've packed those things yourself as there is a hob in the apartment). The little local shop only sells snack food like crisps and biscuits..no meat or even bread. For these reasons I gave it the low rating.

Summary: Great staff and very costly.

Positive: We loved staying at Mola. It was everything we wanted in a family holiday. From the Aquapark to adventure park, to the separate pools for women, spas, and lovely restaurants, Mola really outdone itself to provide to their guests. My only regret is that I didn't book to stay longer.

Negative: Breakfast options could have been changed for variation. All 4 days was similar. There were a lot of ants in our property, which I understand is due to the season (summer) and being on the ground floor. The staff arranged a clean and disinfected the place while we were at the Aquapark. I think also putting some ant powder around cracks and doorways would benefit guests.

Summary: Absolutely the best holiday we have had. I can't wait to return in the future.
