Summary: A beautiful, Grand 1 listed historic house with great potential but excellent for those who need a total break from stress, etc. Highly recommended. Facilities still being developed, but the walled garden and tearoom very popular and well supported.

Summary: Lovely old building so you have to bear that in mind. No chef so no food in the evening, chef due end October 22. Decent food in pub not too far away though. Carpets in the bathroom and no shower curtain so stained walls looked a bit grubby. Really comfortable bed, nice a quite, really quite just me and the barman who was also the receptionist...

Summary: Grade 1 listed building. I use an electric wheelchair so had to use the lift. Once in our amazing room we decided to visit a nearby restaurant but at the ground floor the lift door would not open. The staff were so good but had to call the emergency engineer. Luckily I could exit the lift at the first floor so returned to our room. The staff were so apologetic but these things happen. As we couldn’t get out to eat they arranged a takeaway for us. We will be back to see more of this amazing place.

Summary: Very rude staff when dropping off the bags it doesn’t matter what mode of transport I arrive in my money is the same as anyone. Apart from that very good, comfortable beds good breakfast great price.

Summary: Lovely Georgian Building, lots of history in its structure and inside. Modern facilities tastefully incorporated. A totally relaxing couple of nights. Excellent breakfast, nice to have fresh eggs tasty sausages and juicy bacon. I will be back to stay next time I’m in the area.
