In 2018, we added heating to our outdoor, seasonal pool. This has proved to be extremely popular, you may never want to get out. Pool open from 1st June trend September (weather depending)
Our family run business has everything you could need for a perfect holiday. You can escape from the hustle and bustle and make this holiday haven your home from home.
In addition to Les Vignes there are 3 other well equipped, newly renovated gîtes from which to choose, (Les Hirondelles 10280453, L'Ecurie 10280471 and La Forge 10280472) all offer self-catering facilities, use of the shared pool and beautiful gardens that are just waiting to be explored. Our four gîtes are available all year round:

Summary: We had a wonderful holiday, the gite is beautifully renovated - comfortable, modern and clean inside but maintains rural French charm. We loved the garden and pool and exploring the local nearby villages. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Highly recommend!

Summary: John and Tania are excellent hosts and met us to show us around the gite, after our delay. Beautifully clean gite and a nice welcome pack. Full of knowledge about the local area and beyond with information available for family visits. We loved the pool, use of bikes and played boules and table tennis and enjoyed family time throughout. The uk tv channels brought some familiar watching late in the evening and good WiFi. Lovely villages of Aulnay and Néré are close enough to pop into the boulangerie for beautiful local food. I can’t fault any service about our stay with the warm, friendly service from John and Tania and there gorgeous, quaint location. I would stay here again

Summary: We had the pleasure to stay in this lovely place for 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. Tania and John made us feel very welcome. The kids loved the pool and the many games and sports equipment provided. The surroundings provide ample opportunity to sight see, be active or take it easy and slide into the relaxed and stress free French way of life. Local markets and restaurants serve fresh seasonal produce at great value for money. If the proverbial grumpy Frenchmen do exist, they all must have been on holidays elsewhere, because we didn't meet any.

Summary: Loved the quiet countryside location amongst the fields and the vines and the sunflowers. Loved the old cottage that has been renovated perfectly. Loved the hosts who were so friendly and welcoming. And easy to communicate with. Loved lunch at the little bistro in nearby town Néré (which is open lunch and dinner every day except Tuesday). Loved having a pool during this hot hot season here in France. Playthings/playground for the kids.

Summary: This place is perfect in every way. We are returning customers, this being our second time in the last 6 weeks. The gite is beautifully maintained and to a very high standard, comfortable clean beds, glorious showers, equipped kitchen, log burner, TV and the wifi also works perfectly, but to name a few of the things that brought us back here. The evening meal if required is also excellent and delivered direct to your door, so you can enjoy the comforts of a good meal and wine without leaving your cosy gite and is exceptional value for money. The owners John and Tania offer excellent customer service and are always at hand happy to help. It is quiet and relaxing there and I would most certainly recommend it. We will definitely be returning again and again.

Summary: This was our first trip to France and certainly won't be our last. We spent 4 nights in Les Vignes at Chez Fins Bois and we had a wonderful time. The accommodation was immaculate. Clean, comfortable and there was nothing we needed that wasn't provided. We enjoyed using the pool on a couple of occasions, a good size, if a tad chilly. Our evenings were spent playing dominoes, cards and darts. The scenery was spectacular. Reminded us of home (Scotland), just a bit flatter. We took the bikes out one day and enjoyed a leisurely ride into Nere. Tania and John were great hosts. Full of helpful info and recommendations. A very relaxing few days and we can't wait to come back.

Summary: My friend and I spent a wonderful week in our Gite. The Gite has been renovated and decorated to the highest standard.the equipment was first class and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the great pool area. Summary: Having stayed at this gite complex a few years ago when it was in a state of significant disrepair I was somewhat sceptical when invited by the new owners to come and see the improvements that have been made in the intervening period. We need not have worried. The renovations to the gites are both sympathetic and modern with both rural charm and contemporary comfort. Les Vignes has been transformed into a small, but comfortable, well-appointed and homely holiday let with great facilities. The small kitchen is well appointed and more than ample for our family with a small dishwasher and wood burning stove for colder evenings. The bathroom, previously a sad joke of faulty fixtures, tired fittings and unmanageable plumbing is now tasteful, modern and functional. The bedrooms are well appointed, new roof windows with blackout blinds provide good light and ventilation and the clever use of mirrors brings in more light and space. Outside the gites the landscape has been transformed, the area around the pool is a work in progress, but already much improved with the removal of a lot of the overhanging foliage. The playing field is well maintained and attractive as is the new swingset, the car park has been resurfaced as have the common areas. There are still (at the time of writing in summer 2016) two buildings to renovate along with the new games barn. When complete these will make the place stunning. A great destination to visit in its own right with peace and quiet in the rural location, but ample outdoor provision to keep the family happy and within easy travelling distance to La Rochelle, Cognac, Bordeaux, Royan and the rest of the Charente area.
