4 Bedroom House in Capbreton

New 165 sq m beach house - totally renovated/extended in 2018 by Workhouse Architects. Great location at the foot of the dunes. Walk to the beaches (100 m to the beach entry, and then across the dune path).
Large open plan living space: modern kitchen, dining and TV/lounge area, connecting with 3 large terraces. Upstairs there is a great L-shaped roofterrace looking out over the dunes (sunset views).
Whilst being so close to the beach, the villa offers amazing privacy in the surrounding garden as it is positioned smartly on a corner bloc at the entrance of the beach road.
Superb surfing at 2 iconic beaches: "la Piste" or "Santocha". Ever changing beach-art painted on the "blockhauses".

Downstairs, the villa has:
- an entrance hall with guest toilet, guest wardrobe and closed off utility area (with washing machine and dryer),
- a large open plan living area: fully equiped kitchen with Kitchen bar, dining area, lounge and TV area) with large floor to ceiling windows inviting sunlight from 3 directions;
- the master bedroom with its ensuite (walk in shower, toilet) as well as connecting to the outdoor shower area.
There are 3 more bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs:
- a double bedroom with its ensuite (bath) and access to the roof terrace, with great views over the dunes
- a bedroom with double bed, facing south
- a bedroom with 2 single beds (can be joined to make a large double).
- a 3rd bathroom (walk-in shower, toilet).
(There is a 5th bedroom which is locked (not rented out and private owner's storage).)
In the garden, there are 3 large terraces (in Cumaru wood) , allowing you to catch sun or shade at different times of the day; they connect the outdoor living space fluidly to the different areas downstairs.
There is an outdoor gas barbecue, teak table and chairs, an extra white PVC table and chairs, outdoor Bose loudspeakers, banana lounges, beanbags etc. to make outdoor dining and relaxing as confortable as possible.
There is also an outdoor shower with hot and cold water for a quick rinse when returning from the beach.
Finally, smell the peppery dunes. Listen to the sound of the thumping waves. Quickly check out the state of the swell and the waves, before walking barefoot across the dunes for that early morning surf; or catch the perfect sunset just before starting the barbeque.
Walk or cycle (1 km) to the town center to buy croissants for breakfast, or baguettes for the cheese platter.
Walk 20 minutes to the port/marina to buy freshly caught bar, dorade or squid, directly from the fishing boats in the morning.
Savour oysters cultivated in the local tidal lake whilst overlooking the lake and the Pyrenees in the background.

Summary: It was a second time at Theo’s great house 200m from the beaches of Capbreton. Again, we had a great time. Clean, easy, everything is there, great kitchen, great outside area, with another shower, the package including towels and a washing machine / tumble dryer. The kitchen has almost too many cupboards. The house will accommodate up to 8 persons easily. We’ll gladly come again.

Summary: Fabulous beach house metres from the beach… Capbreton and Hossegor are full of fabulous beachside bars restaurants cafes and shops, a bit like a mini Noosa (Australia) chilled cool vibe… open airy bright house with lots of space for everyone…inside and out… lovely decks and balconies…interesting decor and good tv stereo etc…lots of walks and bike trails, easy day trip south to San Sebastián, Biarritz, etc…was a great base to explore this beautiful region. Totally recommend!

Summary: As every year our stay was amazing, great location, surf school next door, large garden and 5 min to the beach. The house is spacious and very well equipped, perfect for a family stay. The host is very friendly and responsive and check-in was also super easy. We can only recommend.

Summary: We had a great stay at villa Mandurah! The house was clean and well taken care of and the check-in process was very smooth and easy. You can sit in the sun all day around the house on one of the 4 terraces and can walk to the beach in a few minutes for great waves. We would love to stay in the house again and definitely recommend it.

Summary: We had a great time at Villa Mandurah! Wonderful location in area „les dunes“, well equipped, comfortable and cosy. We had rental bikes for 5 minutes drive to a great bakery and to the Restaurants in the evening. On the opposite site Surfschhool Alizé Arnaud is also highly recommended. Thank you Theo&Sally for your assistance upfront and Maarten for check in and service on site! Gladly again!

Summary: We, a family of five, had a very pleasant stay mid October in this very beautiful and clean (!!) house. Plenty of room, with nicely furnished rooms with cool and tasteful decoration, and equipped with everything, including towels and bed clothes. The beach is only 200m away. Nice cool garden, outside shower with hot water to shower after surfing, though it was mostly to cold to fully profit from all verandas and patios. There is a parking inside the premises, but it is a tiny bit challenging to get in with large car :) (and there is plenty of room in front to park there, too). We really loved our time there ! Organisation was effortless, with Maarten in capbreton being well available and kindly organising our arrival and easy departure.

Summary: The house is perfect. The interior was chosen with a lot of taste and is practical too. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. Bedrooms are very cosy with even the right books in the shelf. Very close to the beach. Nice garden. A perfect house for a perfect holiday. We would like to move in!
