Modern well-equipped apartment in the centre of Cromarty. Opposite the Harbour and Cromarty beach and just a minutes' walk from the all that Cromarty has to offer. The apartment is suitable for guests with mobility difficulties with easy access to the property and parking at the entrance. The apartment has all rooms on the ground floor with open plan living room, kitchen and dining area. Great views over the Cromarty Firth and mountains and hills beyond from the open plan lounge/kitchen window.
There is seating for 4 on 2 settees, TV with Freeview channels, DVD player, CD unit with radio. There is a pull-out table with 4 stools for dining. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine/dryer, toaster, kettle, microwave oven and plenty kitchenware if you choose to dine in instead of eating out in Cromarty or on the Black Isle. There are 2 bedrooms, one double room with bedside cabinets with lights, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and alarm clock radio. The other bedroom has bunk beds, bedside cabinet with light, wardrobe and alarm clock radio. The bathroom has a bath with mains shower, wash hand basin and toilet. Outside there is off-street parking directly outside the apartment and easy access to the beach and town centre. There are deck chairs and buckets and spades for building sand castles on the nearby Cromarty beach. The apartment has an iron and ironing board, free wi-fi, a selection of books, maps, games and a hairdryer. A cot and high chair are available upon request at no extra charge – please let us know well in advance of arrival if you require these. 1 well-behaved dog at an additional cost. There is a 24-hour cooling off period after your booking is placed where you may cancel free of charge after that, you will be required to pay the full rental amount if you cancel. Summary: This is a warm, comfortable property. It is located in a great position with views down the Cromarty Firth and very close to the Royal Hotel and Sutor Creek takeaway. Easy walks around the small town with plenty to do and see. We really like the fact that Cromarty is not all tourists, it has visitors but has a working population and industrial features in the Firth and at Nigg.

Summary: We stayed at The Byre for one week. Fantastic location, cross the road and beach access. Beauitful village to stay in for complete relaxation. The Byre was well equipped and perfect for our stay. Bathroom like the house was so clean and lovely rain shower. Everything and more we could of asked for. Thank you

Summary: Very lovely holiday apartment in a great location with nice views of the Cromarty firth, just a dozen steps from the beach. Everything you need for a stay by the seaside, this has to be the cleanest holiday cottage we have stayed in. Very quiet and peaceful off season, just what was needed. Will certainly be back.

Summary: We had a great week staying at 1 The Byre Cromarty. It is an Ideal base by the harbour with super views down the Firth and provided us with an Ideal base to explore and enjoy Cromarty.

Summary: We have stayed at 1, The Byre several times over the past few years and it has always been a very satisfactory base. Cromarty is a lovely village with plenty of things to see and do. The property is clean, comfortable and cosy and provides all that is needed for a comfortable week. Janice and Neil provide excellent customer service, and we highly recommend this apartment in its prime position overlooking Cromarty Firth.

Summary: This ideally situated, comfortable, cosy, well-equipped apartment was a haven from all the madness going on at present. We loved our stay here and ate well locally, despite the current restrictions on the hospitality industry, both at the Royal Hotel and with delicious takeaway food from Sutor Creek, topped off with treats from the Cheese Shop and the Cromarty Bakery, and even managed a few drinks in the beer garden at the Cromarty Arms. We particularly enjoyed the views of the oil rigs lit up at night, our walks around the village, and exploring the local area. We shall definitely return!
