Summary: Check-in service level was very poor, got the wrong room assigned had to argu a lot to finally get the room I had booked after they had told me it was not available. Seems the staff doesn’t want to bother going the extra mile, always chilling and chatting with each other. Would not recommend ordering any of the pizzas there, the worst I have eaten so far.

Summary: Clean Hotel and very friendly staff. Though it is very far from everything and they sold out on some foods. Very high prices that are cheaper in other resorts around phillipines. Breakfast buffet also okay, many choises that changes day by day. They clean the beach every day after high tide. They are sadly a little mean to the stray cats even if they dont do anything. Its phillipines they have strays. But no reason to spray them with water all the way along the beach or even kick them. When leaving be aware if u have paid a deposit that they dont charge you for things you already paid for. They tried to do that. Be aware when you leave that they will ask you to stay while they check the room. Plus that you actually get your deposit back. We had to adk and he said he already given it to us. But he had not since he asked us to wait first. Stripmall and 7/11 near by very overpriceed and out of stock on a lot. Many empty stores.

Summary: Modala was beautiful. There are many hotels in Bohol, but I'm so glad we chose this one. The pool and beach are pristine and quiet, and we loved the shopping area attached to the hotel, with good restaurants, cafes, and lovely shops for souvenirs and handmade jewelry. The hotel restaurant was excellent, and the buffet breakfast was extensive and featured local delicacies from Bohol - something new every morning. The staff were so gracious and accommodating. I would return to Bohol just to stay at Modala again!
