Positive: This classic Acapulco hotel is a little run down, but it has a great location overlooking La Quebrada where the cliff divers perform. It's part of Acapulco's history - check out the Wall of Fame in the restaurant, with pictures of Elizabeth Taylor and Frank Sinatra from the hotel's heyday. It has great views of the cliff divers, which I had never seen before. I thought it might be a bit cheesy, but it's actually awesome to see and we were glad to be there - we watched all five of the daily shows. There are two fresh water pools that are clean and well-maintained, and they've walled in a section of the sea where you can swim in relatively safety while huge waves crash on the seawalls.

Negative: This place could use a bit of TLC. It's a huge hotel, and some of the wings appear to be abandoned. It's a bit rundown, but all of Acapulco seems a bit rundown.
