Positive: Dive crew was awesome. Doing what they do say in day out. Reception and all other staff have it easy compared to them. The grounds were nice, lots of greenery. Like the outside/inside bathroom in our villa. Views were nice. Safe parking if you hire a scooter. Whole resort was safe. Had no issues. Walking distance from other resorts to eat at and mini markets for snacks etc. Was good our villa had a hangers for wet items given its a dive resort. Our villa was set back behind other villas away from the ocean, but you could still hear the ocean crashing into the rocks with the doors closed, helped put us to sleep.

Negative: Few things that let it down, some very small and preference. The bum gun aka toilet hose was not located next to the toilet, it was in the shower. That was a bummer lol. Room was on the small side with nowhere to put your belongings other than on the floor. There is a wardrobe in the room with like 5 hanger and no shelves. So we left our things dumped in our bags on the floor, which was annoying. Bed was rock hard, could not sleep on my side without pain occurring in my hips. The mozzie net above our bed, was pointless as it had big holes in the top to let mozzies in. However we were lucky not to have any. We had the garden terrace and it comes with a big outdoor lay bed (sheltered) however, it's tucked in the corner and was the biggest trap for mozzies. We did not use this. I do not rate the food at the restaurant highly. It is fairly average, especially to the breakfast. The only thing I found to be the most tastful was the chicken and beef burger. When we weren't tired from scuba diving, we would often venture to the resort next door and eat there. Quality and taste was there. Sorry Mimpi, but your food quality and presentation need work. We often ate at a Cafe not even 5min from the resort, had good coffee and meals.

Summary: Scuba is great, resort is lacking and tired.

Positive: Quiet, pleasant staff, good food. Loved the pool/ beachfront area. While Tulamben is quiet, we stayed a week and didn’t tire of the food alternating between Mimpi’s and Slice & Brew.

Negative: A wonderful resort filled with plants, ponds and animals. So, don’t expect a sterile insect free environment- friendly millipedes in your shower, frogs hopping around the deck. Mosquitoes weren’t bad.

Summary: Quiet side of Bali great for divers or those who want to enjoy peaceful Bali.
