Positive: Lovely spacious hotel with a swimming pool. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.

Negative: On Saturday night a party was being held. The music was very loud and our room was directly opposite the party venue. We couldn't get to sleep until after midnight when the party came to an end. It was nearer 01:00 a.m. Before people leaving the party had stopped making noise in the car-park outside our room. I did go down to reception to complain about the noise at around 12:45. Nobody was on the reception desk. There were some men who worked for the hotel moving chairs and tables through reception. When I told them that the music was too loud they told me it was Christmas and that it would stop at midnight. They said they would let the managers know in the morning. I guess this means there wasn't a duty manager on duty whilst the party was in progress. I was aware that it was December and I have been alive for 65 years, so I surmised that the party might have been a Christmas party. My suggestion would be for the hotel to allocate the rooms most likely to hear the noise from the party to party guests, and allocate quieter rooms to other guests. Either that or turn the music down.

Summary: Good, but disturbed on one of our two nights by loud music.

Negative: The hotel was pretty much empty and I was given a tiny room miles from Reception in an ugly outbuilding. Coffee and tea in the morning at the buffet pretty dreadful from a machine

Positive: The wonderful grounds in which we were able to exercise our dog, and enjoy a nice countryside walk. Great seating areas around the outside of the hotel and well manicured gardens. Probably the best shower we have experienced in a reasonably priced hotel. Nice clean room , towels and bedding. Plenty of car parking.

Negative: The exterior looks of the garden wing, which appear to be a large concrete block, not in keeping with the rest of the buildings or surroundings, however once inside became more acceptable. A lovely bathroom, let down by very thin and poor quality toilet paper. Poor external lighting at night.

Positive: Lovely Hotel , garden wing looks off putting from the outside but room was very nice , Staff were wonderfull very polite and very cheerfull , lovely surroundings

Negative: Room service was a let down tried twice to order , but told would have to collect from the restaurant , because they were busy , they were the first night , but not the second night ,Food was very good in the restaurant . But service a bit hit and miss

Negative: The bathroom needed a deeper clean…stains that were removable on the tiled walls. But otherwise room was comfortable and had everything we needed with nice view of the walled garden:
