Summary: This is a fantastic and convenient venue in a beautiful village. We stayed there whilst visiting national trust properties and it was the perfect location for our needs. The staff were so welcoming and really made our stay perfect. The evening meal and continental breakfast was outstanding. A well furnished and warm room.A recommended place to stay.

Summary: We had a lovely overnight stay here on 16/17 February. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable and the continental breakfast of cheese, salami, fruit and toast was delicious. We must mention the lady looking after the place for the owners - sorry that I have forgotten her name - she was super friendly and showed us the skittle alley and talked about the darts teams and the social activities they have planned. Would definitely stay here again when next in the area.

Summary: A simple and modest country village pub with very friendly owners who took great pains to welcome and look after me. Arriving late, they had kept a good supper for me. The bedroom was large, clean and nicely old fashioned. The old church nearby chimed through the night but did not wake me. As I left before breakfast, the landlords left me a sandwich and apple. In no way smart and modern but with a very warm and relaxing atmosphere.
