Positive: The breakfast was really good, with a wide selection of local dishes and some "western" alternatives. Good coffee and the best tea we had during our entire stay in China. Tea was also offered in our room and in the sitting room area at all times. We appreciated it a lot! We loved the hosts and their cats. Our activities went so smoothly, much because the host had a taxi driver friend who was always available for us, it seemed. We got picked up at the train station, and driven there when leaving. We had transport to Xidi with him (and he waited for us until we wanted to return!), and when we were going to the Yellow mountain for our hike the next day, it took care of everything. Thank you so much! Walking around town, we found many gems, like the special store for paint brushes! Beware that the restaurants close quite early. The first night, we were too late, but we found one place open, serving a soup, which was fabulous!

Negative: Nothing negative, really. This was a perfect place.

Summary: We would love to go back to this wonderful place!

Positive: This hotel was really the most cute and lovely place. The location was perfect, and the hosts were just amazing. We felt very welcome. The breakfast was the best we had in China. Would definitely come back.

Positive: My husband and I have travelled to over 30 countries and this is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The location, the help we received off the owners, the breakfast, help with transport. Our room was comfortable, clean, cosy and we just felt at home. I could go on! If you are visiting Huangshan this is the place!

Positive: Outstanding place for your stay - stunning interiors, allowing you to relax from the entrance, furnished with great taste, with an amazing breakfast served every morning. The location is perfect and central for exploring Huangshan and the Owner and his Wife are very friendly and helpful with any questions, ready to share recommendations. When we arrived late, he welcomed us from the street to be sure we find the location and stayed in touch with our driver when our trip to the mountains was arranged. Highly recommended!

Positive: Our stay at Mild Spring was absolutely perfect from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and even offered a complimentary room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise. Jaysen, the owner, was truly exceptional. Despite the heavy rain, he went above and beyond to help us plan our trekking experience on Mount Huangshan, making sure every detail was taken care of. His dedication and kindness made all the difference. A special thank you goes to his wonderful wife, who prepared the most delicious breakfasts for us each morning — always fresh and made with care. It was the perfect way to start our days. Last but not least, we’re grateful to the receptionist for her warm and friendly welcome, which added to the overall charm of our stay. Highly recommended — we would come back in a heartbeat!
