Pool will be open as of Memorial Day weekend through the end of September. Enjoy this classic Michelbook Mid-century Modern house built in 1965, by a local architect in the heart of Wine Country. This area is known for its beautiful vineyards, outstanding wine, historic downtown McMinnville with restaurants, wine tasting rooms, art galleries and shopping.
The house is located on the 9th hole of the Michelbook Country Club (a private golf course), is just over a mile from downtown McMinnville and a short drive to over 100 vineyards and wineries in Yamhill County. Other McMinnville destinations include the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, home of the historic Spruce Goose and Wings & Waves Indoor Water Park. Lincoln City, on the Oregon Coast, is only an hour's drive away.
The original mid-century modern character of the house has been retained with geometric, clean roof lines, high-angled ceilings, beams and windows, multi-level living space, bamboo floors, open floor plan, kitchen "pass through" to family room, louvered kitchen cabinets and doors, incorporation of nature with a fern-filled entry and bamboo stained glass window, large picture windows in the sun room and dining room to let in the sun and views of the golf course.
The house has recently been painted and all furnishings, bedding, linens and décor have been newly replaced.
The fenced-in, landscaped backyard is ready for outdoor living with a covered deck, patio furniture, sun umbrellas, in-ground swimming pool (available Memorial Day through September 30), pool side loungers and chairs, gas BBQ, patio table and 6 chairs.
Inside you will find an 80" TV, DVD player, sound bar, and Xfinity cable in the living room for your entertainment. There is also a 48" TV in the family room. The kitchen is thoughtfully outfitted with everything you need and has full-size stainless steel appliances. The utility room features a full-size washer and dryer.
Each of the three queen bedrooms has a different décor theme. The master bedroom with en suite bathroom is the "Tropical Room", the 2nd bedroom is the "60s Blue Room" and the 3rd Bedroom is the "Red Wine Room". Spa bathrobes, built-in closet drawers, USB ports, and luggage racks complete each bedroom.
Whether you are spending time inside or outside, this house has you covered!
Please note: The half bathroom is not part of the living area of the house. It is located on the other side of the garage. Its primary role is as a bathroom/changing area for the swimming pool. There is a shower, however, only cold water.

Summary: Our stay in this home was wonderful! It is truly a special property. We loved the layout of the home, the decor, and the thoughtful details (snacks, coffee, etc.) that made us feel welcomed and right at home. The location is convenient to many restaurants and wineries in the the area you might want to visit. We can’t wait to come back to the area and will definitely stay in this home again.

Summary: The home was a great place to gather for a family getaway! Lots of amenities and "space" to make the stay comfortable and effortless. Very much appreciated the welcoming snacks and bottle of wine when we arrived - made dinner prep a lot more fun! The pool and back porch were a great place to relax. Although we didn't get to use it, there's a firepit in the backyard which we all agreed would be a nice place to sit around, roasting marshmallows and watching the stars at night. There's so much to do and see in McMinnville and the nearby towns of Carlton, Dayton, and Dundee! From the Wings & Waves Waterpark and Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum to olive oil tasting and the plethora of wineries, there's something for everyone!
