Our retro beach house comes with the bonuses of a huge pool, tennis court, hot tub, gymnasium, bocce courts and wifi, all situated on a private beach.
The blue "boat" house, a classic mid-century home mostly features a large, open living/dining room area, galley kitchen, an enormous second floor deck leading to the hot tub, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. This house has walls of windows looking toward the lake, out over the tennis court and into the woods behind the house.
There is also access to the gym in the orange section of the house complete with basketball hoops which is a great thing for rainy days and night time play.
The large pool is adjacent to the tennis court and this all sits on a wide stretch of beach from which amazing Lake Erie sunsets may be best appreciated. It's a unique and remarkable place to get away, so if you are all about the beach and kicking back with family and friends by the pool this is the spot.

Summary: Our family vacation this year was at the Pt. Abino location on Lake Erie. As there are 13 of us with a dog this was an ideal vacation property for us. The property is located steps from Lake Erie and a lovely sandy beach which we had virtually to ourselves for most of the stay. The accommodations are well set up in 2 houses with completely equipped kitchens in both, lovely large sitting areas inside and outside decks for lounging and meals. The additional amenities of a large pool area, tennis court, bocce courts, a hot tub and an inside gym area for volleyball and basketball were very much used an appreciated and allowed us to spread out and enjoy the whole property with groups of kids/parents participating in activities throughout the days. The property is showing its age around the edges and could also use a little TLC on the outside maintenance to really show it off. The owners were wonderful to deal with when we had questions or concerns and were very sincere in hoping that we fully enjoyed our visit to their property. All in all, a wonderful time was had by all from the 1 year old to the 70 year olds.

Summary: Overall, the trip was fantastic. The owners John and Kelly are quick to reply to any issues that may arise. The property is huge and for the most part, everything is in working order. The house has that nice, old cottage feel to it but it does come with some 'old' issues. Some of the electrical sockets do not work or do not have the 3rd ground plug that a lot of plugs require. It rained quite a bit during our stay and the roof does leak in some areas. Roger, the property manager, is very quick to respond to any issues. The pool is large, there is an indoor basketball court, a tennis court, a hot tub, bocce ball courts and the beach is great! There were so many things to do, time just flew by! I'd recommend to families and large groups, but I'd hope the roof issue gets addressed quickly.

Summary: This location has it all, pool, beach, tennis, an indoor gym, just to say the least. I would recommend this location if you're looking for a perfect place that offers something to do for sunny and rainy days, and you don't have to leave the house. We've already inquired about renting it again next year.

Summary: We had another wonderful week at the house. Tennis every day, firepit every night and lots of fun paddling on the lake. We even turned the indoor gym into a pickleball court for a rainy morning and then it was used nearly every night. We loved the new hot tub and my father-in-law especially enjoyed reading on the new living room deck. We've booked next year's stay and the entire extended family is already looking forward to it.

Summary: My extended family just returned from a vacation at this house. Everyone in the group loved it; from 74 year-old grandmom to the 2 1/2 year-old toddler. The house is not fancy but the location and grounds are amazing. The views of the lake are gorgeous from many rooms and decks. We played tennis and swam every day either in the lake or the very large pool. We went on several kayak trips and enjoyed the stand-up paddle board. We hiked to Point Abino lighthouse several times. We also rented bikes and rode out to the Friendship trail. It's well located for visiting Niagara Falls and lots of other attractions in the area (next time). The large kitchen made it easy to cook for 11 people. My husband, the designated vacation cook is missing the commercial stove with built-in griddle. We are already planning a trip back next summer; the kids - both big and small can't wait to return.
