Positive: The rooms were clean and the breakfasts had a good variety.

Negative: For us it was just seeing the updating that was going on. Just make sure equipment is fixed. Example: coffee maker for guests in lobby was confusing even with note.

Summary: We were comfortable and staff worked hard to make our stay enjoyable

Positive: Convenient to the campground where friends were staying.

Negative: Coffee pot was dusty. Bed sheets were not changed and the room was not cleaned/vacuumed during our stay. Towels were not replenished daily. Shower nozzle only had two working settings. Coffee, cups, creamer, sugar packets etc. were not replaced daily.

Summary: Was a pleasant stay except for the things listed above.

Positive: Microtel Bath is in a perfect location for us as we visited family along the easter shore of Keuka Lake, met friends in Penn Yan, Watkins Glen, Auburn and Hammondsport. And shopped in Horseheads, Rochester, Corning and Bath. The hotel is what it is and served our needs. We would stay here again based on the location - not based on the hotel.

Negative: - Staff: One woman working at the front desk(apologies for not taking name) was wonderful. All other staff members were terrible to deal with. Despite repeated requests to have our room cleaned housecleaning never managed to do more than empty the trash 2 out of 7 days. Never made bed. Never left fresh towels(we had to get from front desk when needed). Have corresponded with Microtel on this issue independent of Booking.com. - Laundry: Had to install an app on phone in order to pay and operate the washer and dryer. Ridiculous. My bank blocked my debit card due to bizarre rerouting of my card data from the app to a dating site rather than laundry app. Coins are good. This is the ONLY way to use laundry.

Positive: The Location of the Inn.

Negative: When we arrived it took a very long time to be checked in. The receptionist was doing three jobs at once. Checking people in , folding sheets, calling around to different workers to find a clean room for us. We came in town to attend a funeral and were told breakfast would be served from 8am to 10am. four of us went to have breakfast at 9 before attending the funeral but everything was already gone and no one refilling the food. Saturday evening we gathered in the lobby at the empty table to talk with family. It was around nine o'clock and no one was at the reception desk and some people were standing there waiting to be checked in. It was late and you could see how tired they were and their family from traveling. They walked all around looking for someone to come to the desk and it was a good twenty minutes before the receptionist came back. You could see they are very in need of more help.

Summary: It was very conveniently located for our purpose.

Positive: Room was comfortable and it was located close to the conference I was attending.

Negative: Staff at check-in could not locate my already confirmed and prepaid reservation. He was rude to me about it and not helpful whatsoever. Finally 20 minutes later, he said he found it under cancellations, but I am doubtful that was true as I had all of my reservation information on hand to show him. He didn’t like that I had used a third party to reserve my stay, said the confirmation number and emails meant nothing to him. Then I realized a few days later that he charged me again for the 4 day stay.
