Positive: The barn was quiet and in a lovely village setting. It was small but had what we needed for a short stay with our dogs.

Negative: On our last morning we were unable to shower because all the hot water had been used up by the occupants of the two motor homes staying in the adjoining field. It was quiet when we visited, but I could imagine this not being the case when the pub was open as the garden entrance was right next to the barn. There was no soap provided in the bathroom to wash our hands, which was annoying.

Positive: I would have appreciated more simple facilities, cleaning materials, a dish drying cloth, washing up liquid . Would also have aporeciated knowing that the pub was closed in such a remote setting. Otherwuse, lovely! Had a nice walk to next village to shop, you can only have pizza at the other pub once, (but theur beer is good!).

Negative: Tiny sink, no plug made dish washing difficult! Sorry the cup didn't bounce on your stone flags and there was only 1 jcloth to wioe it all up...

Positive: Accommodation in a great location and with a lot of character. The owners/managers and staff at The Crown were very friendly and positive. I experienced autumn temperatures at night, but was warm and comfortable.

Negative: The sitting room furniture was perhaps a bit dated and perhaps the sofa would be better as a corner unit to better utilise the small space. Self-catering was very limited without a sink, but I expected that.

Summary: A successful stay in a cosy little barn conversion.
