Positive: Staying at Meublé Leonetti was one of the highlights of my trip to Italy! This boutique hotel is located in the center of the town and you can walk to literally everything they have to offer in Palinuro! Nicola, the owner, was so personable and a lovely conversationalist. He was full of great information and always available if I needed assistance. The view from my top floor room was out of this world!! To be able to open the patio doors and look out upon the entire Palinuro bay was breathtaking! The room was a good size with a king size bed - hard to find- that was so comfortable! Everything was very clean and neatly put together. Breakfast is served on the lower level and garden patio amongst lemon and orange trees and a variety of beautiful flowering plants. Traditional Italian sweet breakfast with lots of options, with juices, yogurt, waters and of course coffee. Nicola was kind enough to offer me (an North American) eggs which I really enjoyed! I have fallen in love with Palinuro and will be back as often as I can. Everyone I met was friendly and engaging. Thank you Nicola for helping to make my time there so special!

Positive: Everything about Meublé Leonetti was lovely. Staff went n out of there way to assist me, location was excellent, breakfast on their terraced garden was very good, room was clean, reasonably sized and with a wonderful view of the sea from the large balcony. I was very impressed.

Positive: Accomodation is directly in the center, so everywhere is near, I had a nice terrace on the top with beautiful view on roofs. There is also nice garden where you can have breakfast in the morning. Room is modern, my bed was comfortable to sleep which is not always the case. Owner is very friendly and helpful, I had a problem to get from Palinuro by public transport and he took me by his car to place where I needed to go, so I appreciate a lot!

Negative: Parking was advertised as available at the time of booking, but upon arrival we were told it is only available in summer. We had to park on the street. This was disappointing, as parking was a key reason for choosing this place.

Positive: We love Italy in the 'off season' and so we were able to get the best top balcony room here for a great price. Free parking nearby with no worries too and all the controlled spots seemed available - but check with your host. An early check-in is always nice and our friendly host even left lunch with Grandma on a Sunday to let us in! The view of the bay is gorgeous and gets the sunset, although you'll need to pile up the cushions a bit on the patio chairs to sip your drink and admire it! The folding blind door is a bit of an effort to move, so we left it open for our stay as security seemed OK. Breakfast is good with sweet and savoury catered for: nice croissants, rolls and cakes. If you want a strong black coffee, ask for a double espresso with extra hot water on the side - their 'Americano' is a bit like a long weak 'diner coffee'. The second brother (it's a family business) is still learning English so that will help you .. and him! Lots of local restaurants nearby, but many closed in the off season. We liked an old favourite: the Isidoro, which does pizza too as well as al a carte. Obviously, fish is a speciality here. We took the boat trip to the Blue Grotto etc and really enjoyed it - it's a lovely limestone coastal landscape anyway but the blue glow in the cave was surprisingly intense. We paid 25 euros for 1.5 hours, but i think it can be cheaper - we had no choice because we just turned up and waited on spec. Day Trip Top Tip: drive up the beautiful River Mingardo valley to the Centola-Palinuro railway station and take the train to Sapri, Matarea and Scalea down the coast. Scalea is historic, with a steep climb up through ancient alleys to a Norman castle ruin on top. Incredible view.
