Positive: Self Catering accommodation. Beautiful cosy apartment with everything you needed. Host Brigette was lovely. She offered us breakfast for 10 Euros, which we gladly accepted, as this was a one night stopover. It was a short walk into Chambery, steep, but short, where there were restaurants and shops. The views at night and in the morning over the Alps was stunning.

Negative: It was quite hard to find the apartment, even when using the Satnav, but once we were on the correct road, we saw the photo instructions, and it was easy from there on in, although again steep roads up to the accommodation, but worth it for the views you then got.

Summary: Warm, cosy, beautiful with stunning views of the Alps!

Positive: Beautiful apartment at the base of the owner, Liliane’s house set in a lovely garden with views of the mountain. Very clean and comfortable with plenty of outdoor furniture to use too. Liliane extremely friendly and welcoming and gave us lots of tips for the area.

Positive: The place was beautifully located, surrounded by the mountains and with an amazing garden, but also very close to the city center. The appartment was very comfortable, clean and cozy, with a fully equipped kitchen as well. Our host was the kindest, most thoughtful and generous host we had ever met. It was a true joy spending our time there!

Positive: Modern, beautifully decorated rooms. Lovely garden and outlook over Chambery. Our host was very generous with the breakfasts and in looking after us. Highly recommended.

Negative: Location is a challenge but we made it first time!

Positive: Large with separate kitchenette/dining/living, separate bedroom, separate bathroom, separate toilet. Also a lovely garden with a view of the mountains and car parking. Also

Negative: Very difficult to locate. The map is inaccurate and GPS even in the latest model KIA could not locate it. The owner, Liliane is very helpful and drives down to meet you and show you the way. I would not have found the property without her help because the road had a ‘dead end/ no entry sign’ and the property has no signage along the way. I got lost several times and the laneways around this area are very narrow.
