Positive: Our stay here was perfect. Right in the middle of the old town. Rooms had lots of character and lovely to learn about the history. Host was brilliant, really responsive and very friendly.

Positive: What a special place! I loved it here. Large room, great high ceilings, a comfy bed, and a cute kitchen — it was great. So cozy, with the unexpected bonus of the best water pressure I’ve ever had in Greece. We adored everything about Mesta itself, and I cannot say enough kind things about the proprietor and her mother. They were phenomenally helpful, going out of their way to meet us in the dark and ensure we had a meal despite our late arrival in town. Would stay here again without a second thought.
Negative: You’re in a walled town, so the WiFi is iffy (my calls regularly dropped). There’s also very little natural light, which is to be expected in most places in Mesta. Finally, while this wasn’t a problem, it may be worth knowing that not all of the Mesta Mastic rooms are in the same place; my sister and I booked separate apartments and found that they were several blocks apart.

Positive: Jenny and her mother Anna were a delight to meet. Jenny helped us to transfer our luggage from the public parking lot on the first day. We only met Anna later when she gave us quite a bit of background about the state of the house when they inherited it (animals downstairs and a grape press) and the subsequent renovation problems (being a historical building). We had the one-bedroom apartment at the top. It was very comfortable - fully functional kitchen, great shower and comfortable bed. Very cozy. Jenny and her Mom were generous throughout our stay.
Negative: Nothing that I didn't like but the listing on Booking.com led us to believe that there was an outdoor patio area but no such area existed and once you see the village you will understand why! There is a window above the small seating area that opens but I don't think that counts as a patio (not in English). Could be a 'Lost in Translation' problem.
