Positive: A lovely house and owners. Lovely garden and pool. The dinner on the first night was really good and we had tastes of different wines for different courses. I mentioned that I didn't eat meat so the menu took that into consideration, which I appreciated. The house is right in the beautiful and interesting village so we could stroll around.

Negative: We couldn't have dinner on the second night which we would have loved.

Positive: Wonderful hosts in a beautiful hill top village. We had tasty dinner with the hosts and other guests, an very enjoyable experience. Parking easily found in the main parking area in town before you reach the property coming from Pinhao. We hiked down to to Pinhao which was delightful, walking on mainly paved paths enjoying the views and having no problems catching a taxi back. Don't let the winding road stop you staying here. Just take your time!

Positive: Jet and Ronaldo were exceptional host responding well to our needs to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. We were given studio 3, bed, ensuite, kitchenette and sitting area and separate entrance. Quirky and interesting guest house in the Douro Valley 7/8 Kms from Pinhão in the most beautiful countryside. They host evening meals a few times to bring all guests who wish together and are regale with Ronald knowledge of wine and port of the region and of course to taste with each course. Amazing hikes available to explore, river cruises and train rides along the Doura valley on the old locomotive run regularly.

Negative: The village is remote and you need your own transport. Beware the bends.
