Merricks Cottage is situated on a quiet country lane nestled in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula. Only an hours drive from Melbourne, Merricks Cottage offers an idyllic escape from the city to enjoy a taste of Mornington Peninsula life.
The perfect weekend getaway, whether you’re seeking a relaxing romantic break, an outdoors adventure or a weekend of indulgence discovering the local produce.
Everything is at your fingertips, beautiful beaches, wineries, walks, markets, restaurants - there is so much to enjoy. Our neighbours, Merricks General Wine Store and Stonier Wines are only a 2-minute walk down the lane.
Pampered pooches are welcome. All requests will be considered on application. Pets must be house trained, they are not allowed on bedding or furniture and must be supervised. Pet stay - $50 (per pet)

Summary: We had a fantastic stay at Merricks Cottage with our dog Sammy. It was simply perfect. Lots of lovely little touches from the host, including some welcome treats for humans and dogs!We would highly recommend a stay here. The cottage and gardens were immaculate, so full of character and clearly a lot of love has gone in to creating the perfect place for guests to enjoy, year round. The location is hard to beat - walking distance Merricks General Store and Stonier winery and a short drive to many beaches, yet the cottage is so relaxing you feel a million miles away from day to day life. We stayed during a heatwave and the aircon was very good. We will be back!

Summary: A perfect weekend getaway location. We specifically chose this gorgeous cottage for its proximity to the Merricks Store where we attended a wedding. It was as close as you can get, in easy walking distance. We were delighted with the cottage- it was cosy and warm (on a cold weekend). Lynda was very welcoming and responsive. The bed was extremely comfortable and all facilities were excellent. It is a great place for a girls weekend, with two lovely bedrooms.

Summary: Well located for a visit to Pt Leo estate. Close to Red Hill & Balnarring & all wineries. Charming, small fibro cottage decorated with flair. Lovely touches, fresh flowers, bottle of Stonier wine, fruit from the garden.An expensive area to stay, tho.

Summary: My sister and I did a spa and wineries weekend getaway in Mornington and stayed at Merricks Cottage. The cottage is beautifully appointed, clean, homely and has all modern amenities for convenience. After a hot springs day at Alba, which is located only 20-25 minutes from the cottage, we spent a quiet afternoon in the garden, relaxing and enjoying local wine and produce which we picked up at the Traders down the road. The next day, we spent at Pt Leo Estate, a convenient short 4 minute drive from the cottage followed by a quiet night in sampling yet more produce. I highly recommend this property whether you are planning on being out and about (it's location is excellent) or if you just want some peace and serenity. Our host was wonderful and communicated clearly and promptly

A lot of attention has been given to make you feel at home, from a selection of different density pillows to a selection of teas and coffees.
