Summary: Staff was lovely, breakfast was excellent, rhe room was clean however there are some furniture that peobably need replacement, like the TV furniture, it looks a bit "out of sinc"with the reat of the hotel style. The toom in general needs a bit of love, rhe barhroom is jice but rhe room needa a bit of touch. Also there is no plug by the bed to charge your phone andrhe hairdryer is very old and not great.

Summary: Staff were very lovely, room was tidy and modern but definitely needed a deep clean under the beds and shower mat. Breakfast was tasty and staff helpful in the mornings. Pool and spa facilities were great.

Summary: A beautiful building and very friendly staff. We were upgraded to a room with a beautiful view of the sea and a jacuzzi bath. Breakfast was plentiful with a huge range of food, all fresh and well prepared. Again the staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble, all done with a smile. We didn’t visit the spa so can’t comment. I would recommend

Summary: Friendly and engaging breakfast staff, incredible swimming pool and jacuzzi area inside the pool. We staying in a big room with a stunning balcony, lovely bathroom and wonderful Temple spa bathing products and toiletries. The lovely young woman (slender student with short hair) who cleans the pool and responded to delivering us any missed items to our room was attentive and gave great information when we asked about services. She is a true gem and nothing was ever too much, she deserves a pay rise! A lovely touch was the wonderful gift bag my partner and I received as we checked out which contained sparkling water, perfect for our long drive back to London in the hot weather. Thank you Merchants Manor for a memorable stay, we enjoy every minute and wish you ongoing success of your charming hotel. Eternal blessing to all staff.

Summary: Bedroom was in need of a lot of work, including a new bathroom. The bath itself was stained from being so old. Photos can be misleading, as our bedroom looked over a flat roof and carpark. Jacuzzi not working in the pool, nor the sauna. For the money, you’d expect a lot more.

Summary: A thoroughly pleasant stay (long weekend), polite and friendly staff. Breakfast hearty, varied and good quality. Room was nicely appointed and a comfortable bed. Hotel parking is just enough. Good to see that provision is made for destination charging for EVs but the price/kWh is very high.

Summary: Cosy single room in old part of hotel, I was on the top floor - had a fantastic view, may get very hot in the summer as there was no air conditioning and it got a lot of sun. Windows do open though. New bath/shower. Had iron, steamer and ironing board. No mini fridge, but there was a kettle. The room I had did have very steep stairs to get to top floor - probably not great for medium/ big suitcases, small carry on suitcase was fine for me to carry up. Breakfast was marvellous, loads of options on buffet/ to order and the staff were very welcoming, attentive and helpful. Beautiful downstairs reception with comfy couches, board games and a bar. Pool was excellent. Wish I could have stayed longer, a lovely escape from hectic London.
