Positive: I had such an amazing stay at Menacho's House! Dina and Lorenzo are excellent hosts that immediately make you feel welcome. They go way above and beyond to ensure that you have a comfortable stay at their house. Dina was especially helpful in arranging tours for me. They're such kind people. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Everything inside the room was very nice and new. Hot water for the showers. You have access to their kitchen as well if you want to cook some meals. They also have a really cute dog named Belen! I wouldn't bother looking anywhere else if you're staying in Caraz.

Positive: We really felt at home at Dina's and Lorenzo's place. They did everything to make us feel comfortable and welcome, gave us enormous information about what to do in the surroundings (hikes, thermal baths, organizational stuff too) and were present when we had questions avout anything. The rooms were very clean, the kitchen very well equipped and the view from the terrace towards the mountains around Caraz stunning. The local market (great) is only 10 min by feet, though, in case of some forgotten needs, there are three bodegas within 2-3 min distance.

Positive: For me it was the best accommodation during my trip to Peru. Dina and Lawrence are incredibly friendly, helpful and uncomplicated. It was no problem to spontaneously extend my stay by a few days. I was allowed to have dinner with them and Diana took the time to show me around. I felt very comfortable and at home. Thank you very much. I hope to see you again.

Positive: I have travelled the world extensively and I was so impressed with Dina and Lorenzo's kind hospitality, they are so friendly and helpful and I really did feel at home in their beautiful home. The house is very nice, access to kitchen, the room and bed was super comfortable and spacious (I could even see snowy mountain peaks from my bed!) and the panoramic mountain views from the terrace are incredible. I enjoyed Caraz much more than Huaraz, as it's much closer to all the attractions to see! It is such a quaint mountain town and is super safe. There is so much so see nearby to Dina's house. - Laguna Paron, - Laguna 69, - Lagunas Llanganuco, - Santa Cruz trek, they helped me organise tours from Caraz easily. - Campo Santo (a tragic remnants of a town covered by an avalanche in 1970) - Pre Inca ruins literally down the road! All closer than Huaraz. - A super interesting museum with the smallest mummy in the world. They have just opened their homestay to Booking and don't have many reviews yet but I assure you this is the best place to stay in Caraz!
