Positive: Location to airport is easy

Negative: Problems paying as an international as i did not have a local account to connect to the wifi system. Room was quite old. Hotel was full of clutter.

Positive: Employees are really nice and helping. They barely speak English but are friendly and helping enough so your stay is smooth. Price is cheap & the room is really big. Lot of restaurants around, so easy food access for western people (if you like Chinese food), even though you are not in the center of Shanghai city. Located really close to the airport. If you are on a transit and need to go to Pudong really early, that's a great place. Only 15 minutes in metro. Bathroom is a bit small, but get the job gone.

Negative: No free wifi. You need a Chinese phone number to access internet. I chose that hotel during my transit in China because it had a good internet grade for internet and "24/7 free wifi access". That's not right. The hotel don't accept western bank cards, and you can't pay through Booking. I had to find a bank, in the middle of nowhere, with no internet. That's wasn't hard tho, but that's not the kind of experience you expect when you book an hotel through an international platform like Booking.

Summary: Nice, but not up to what you expect from an hotel on Booking.

Positive: Location is good. Around lots of traditional restaraunts and supermarkets. Metro line is 20 min by walk with lagguage. Rooms are big and equipped with air conditioning. The staff is friendly and trying to assist as much as they can.

Negative: -almost no English at the lobby desk. Prepare your google translator -Room class has been changed without prior notification. It happens when i come. But i contacted 2 times the hotel before (at least 6 and 3 hours before my arrival) and nobody told me that class is changed. - Room has not been clean enough. Someone's black hair was in the restroom. - first electronic key was unable to unlock room door. I requested to change the key. After the change, room was unlocked. But during my check out i has been requested to return 2 keys! Gosh...fortunately no fine and explanation was enough that i changed it and not doubled it.

Positive: The hotel was in a traditional part of Shanghai so I got to see normal life. The hotel is nicely laid out and the room was very spacious. The security guard was very nice! The boy and girl at the reception were nice.

Negative: I had to ask for a Hoover whilst there and they didn’t have one so I got a broom. The floor looked and felt like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. I went around the room with a wet wipe and cleaned it.

Summary: Quirky hotel out of town so the price is great but it takes around an hour to get into Shanghai
