Summary: Nice clean hotel & friendly staff

Summary: The stay at this hotel started with 30 minutes in the reception. We got a “Trainee” that was checking us in. But his rudeness got us the impression that he had worked there too many years and was sick of he’s job. He also had coworkers around him that could helped him when they saw that he took too long checking us in. They saw that we had a baby under 1 year with us. Still, no assistance. A big issue at the check in was also that we booked a family room and paid extra for that. But on their system it was a normal room. So he said that this is something we should talk to hotels.com about. They don’t take responsibility for that. When we finally got the keys, he didn’t had the courtesy to tell us where we should go for our room. Still with the baby on our arms we had to go wrong before we figure out that our room was on the other side. This hotel is big. And after 30 minutes in the check in, it was not a nice experience to also look for our hotel room. We didn’t want that challenge. Other things to mention: the room was ok! Not the room we paid for, but nice bed and ok bathroom. The people working at the cafeteria was so nice! Also at the breakfast! But the food was not 4 stars. We came late, one hour before breakfast closed, so maybe that’s why the food tasted like it was from yesterday. Overall the hotel is big and has a nice pool area but everything screams that it needs a renovation. Old hotel but it has his charm. Except from the front desk.

Summary: The hotel was nice. The room was spacious and clean. The outdoor pool is nice, though was a bit chilly in October. The indoor pool temperature was better, but there was crowded. Hot tubs were not working when I was there. There are plenty of restaurants and shops near the hotel, but they are very tourist driven and not my taste. Old town is about a 30-45 minute walk, which is a nicer area. The beach is about a 10 minute walk, and is beautiful. My biggest issue is that I was charged extra fees after checking out, which I only found after returning home. I did not use the mini bar or buy any drinks or food in the hotel restaurant or bar. No one will respond to me about the extra charge and I did not receive any invoice. It’s too bad. It’s a nice hotel, but I would not return because of this.

Summary: The breakfast buffet was something else! It brought out my inner fatty because there was so much good quality, fresh food. Highly recommended. The location was perfect, the pool was quiet, spacious, and the bar was good. Thebpaper cups were a bit disappointing though. However, the bar upstairs was beautiful. A proper sun trap, with beer glasses in the freezer. That was a nice touch. We'll definitely stay again!
