This beautiful place offers your choice of seclusion or inclusion, private, self-guided contemplation and study, or attendance of group classes (Ayurvedic, Hatha Yoga, or Kriya Yoga philosophy and lifestyle classes by arrangement. Guests from all authentic enlightenment traditions are welcome to utilize the peaceful environment to renew and deepen their own spiritual practices.
This is a bedroom in a 3 bedroom home with fully furnished kitchen where you can prepare your own vegetarian meals. It is very clean comfortable and sort of a monastic environment.
We offer an opportunity to connect with nature: from the expansive view of the snow capped Sierra Nevada Mts. to the local foothills of vegetation and wildlife. Gazing on the area itself is spiritually regenerative. On-site we enjoy waterfalls spilling into pools of water, the disappearing edge of the infinity pool, and the private lake with its population of resident waterfowl. The contemplation gardens offer a more personal seclusion, shared by Buddha or St Francis. While Wi-Fi is available at the pool, we encourage you to leave your electronic devices turned off, stashed away in your suitcase, so you are truly available to work with your personal spiritual growth and awareness. This Retreat Center can be an environment for serious personal growth and deep inner work that we find hard to do in our normal busy lives.
Sandra has focused on providing you with the necessities and simplicity for a comfortable stay: high thread-count cotton sheets, comfortable beds, fluffy cotton towels provide your foundation of great rest and comfort during your stay. The facilities include a kitchen equipped with all the cooking and food preparation tools and appliances you can think of. The retreat also operates an organic farm that you may utilize- picking and preparing in-season fruit and veggies for your own delight during your stay.
We specialize in spiritual growth and renewal retreats and at this time we are not offering use as a venue for special events or family outings. There is a no smoking on the grounds. You can walk the path around the lake and the grounds, enjoy the pools. Guests are encouraged to stay right here on the grounds and relax to the Max!

Summary: We stayed 3 days for R & R and decompress after a very busy October. The house was all ours and cozy. The grounds were quiet and secluded and clean. We felt very safe. The house had all the necessities. We would love to return.

Summary: I came this past weekend to unplug and create space to rest, restore and connect deeply with God. What a delight to find an environment set up exactly for that! Serenity House was comfortable with all the amenities that make it a home away from home, NOTE: twin beds, and request for vegetarian only cooking in the kitchen. The small lake, pool, and intimate walking grounds are serene, peaceful and private -- with enough birdsong around to make it easy to wrap myself in a little retreat bubble. Sandra and Miriam are very welcoming and hospitable, yet respectful and sensitive to the isolation guests request. A wonderful, ecumenically-friendly retreat location.

Summary: The "Yoga Retreat" is a peaceful sanctuary, about 10 minutes out of town, in a rural area, of magnificent oak trees and rolling hills. For us, that was the perfect location, as we prefer to be out of the hustle and bustle of town. Sandra went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and ensure we had everything we needed. With her extensive knowledge of the area, she was able to provide tips and insights to direct our exploring "adventures". There was fruit on table, and a generous selection of coffees and teas. The bed was super comfy. The view from the windows was beautiful: I enjoyed watching the sunrise each morning. The suite was the right size for us: not too small, nor too big. In the evenings, you can watch the geese land on the lake below the suite. There is even a private hot tub! For the price, you simply cannot beat this vacation rental.

Summary: This place was a breath of fresh air, tucked away down a windy paved road along ranches, orchards, vineyards, and family homes. The house had everything needed, lots of teas (I'm a tea person, cannot comment on coffee) with a private hot tub, and covered deck for lounging and enjoying a view of the Canadian geese on the pond. The deck had a nice breeze and lounge chairs to enjoy the quiet nature. We enjoyed swimming around and lounging by the pool some days, paddling around the pond and feeding the fish other days. The house also has a nice grill on the deck. Sandra graciously also offered fresh vegetables and fruit from her garden and orchard to us, a nice addition. I appreciated that she composts and recycles. All was clean and as advertised. We had the hot tub turn off on us, we texted Sandra and she came down to reset the hot tub. This place is great for coming and staying put to enjoy the scenery and relax. There isn't much as far as attractions or things to do within walking distance. It's about 20-30 minute drive to downtown Placerville, as I commuted to a work assignment each day there, and it was nice to relax after work. It was a great time and I look forward to coming by again the future, I'd certainly stay here again should my travels bring me this way again.

Summary: Located at the end a county road, this 20 acre property is very quiet and serene. The 3BR, 2 bath house is basic vice luxurious with a modern kitchen fully stocked. The owner lives in the main house and was very helpful. The garden is lovely and the infinity pool perfect for cooling dips on a hot day.

Summary: I had planned a camping trip for a bunch of friends and I in the El Dorado National Forest. At the last minute we realized a storm was coming in, and I looked at VRBO to see if there were any vacation homes available. Low and behold the kriya yoga meditation was available! The grounds of this place are amazing! If it wasn't storming so badly I would have taken a little ride in the kayaks offered. The lake is amazing. The house was very comfortable, especially the beds! I now consider this a very special place for me as upon us leaving the Kriya Yoga house and driving into the national forest 19 miles away I got engaged! Will absolutely return here, definitely for a yoga retreat and also as a traveler looking for some shelter. Oh and the restaurant down the street is pretty good too! 5 stars all around!

Summary: We are a church from the Bay Area and stayed at Infinite Life Retreat over the July 4th weekend. Everything was excellent! 1) The owner Sandra was warm, welcoming, accommodating, accessible, knowledgeable, and takes pride in the purpose of her property. We had some fluctuations on the number of people going, and she was more than willing to meet our needs. 2) The home(s) are in excellent shape, lovely decorated with all accommodations. 3) We were really impressed by the beauty of the outside landscape, the pool, and the private lake. It really does look better than the pictures, and it provided a serene ambiance for a truly meaningful retreat. 4) The price is truly excellent for what you get! 5) It's not too far from the Bay Area :) 6) You should go!

Summary: The property itself is beautiful. Nestled a few miles off the main roads, the view of the Sierra mountains from the infinity pool is spectacular. The guest house where we stayed for two days was very comfortable and clean. We had a wonder time relaxing at the house and visiting with the owners.
