Positive: Loved the tranquil country setting, no road noises, surrounded by animals, lush greenery. Just lovely. A quaint and spacious cottage attached to a farmhouse with cozy homey vibe. Hubby loved the welcome crisps though no one else got to sample them! The kids loved the billiard table, even though there was only one cue and it was missing its tip. Casino the horse was very friendly and enjoyed the apple our daughters fed him. The morning ducks were adorable and entertained the children for good while.

Negative: As much as we loved the property it was showing signs of wear and it wouldn’t take much to spruce it up; a deep clean, cobweb removal, fresh coat of paint and a bit of maintenance would make this place an absolute knockout. A back panel would be a great addition to one of the kitchen cupboards to conceal a cavity that looks like it could be a home to critters (not saying that it is, it just looks like it could be). The beds felt small, which was a surprise given how large the rooms are.

Positive: The location was lovely and having a pool table for entertainment made for a fun evening.

Negative: Either the photos on bookings.com need to be updated, or the accommodation needs to be updated again to match what is presented online. It’s disappointing to reach your night away for it to not match what you thought you had booked.

Positive: Location was great, house was a good size, garden was lovely, animals were very friendly, pool room was great. We had a lovely stay.

Negative: We had an issue with the heating but when I contacted the host, someone came around to sort it straight away.

Positive: Amazing location. Lovely animals around, horses and sheep. Spacious and everything u need for self catering. Great big bedrooms. Lovely rustic decor. Hot tub and snooker table kept us well entertained. Host Catriona was friendly and accommodating with good communication. Good location to be away from hustle and bustle but also not too far from home and able to get food delivery.

Negative: No dislike. We couldn't figure out how to get the fire stick working and the signal was too weak from the arial to get most channels which was a bit annoying. But it didn't affect our stay for only a night

Positive: Location and access was simple Super comfy beds. Spacious. Owner put up birthday banner and balloons for our arrival. Firestick included with all the streaming apps ready to use which was a fab extra!

Negative: Everything was great. 10/10

Negative: Beautiful surroundings but we didn’t receive the information on how to get there until after we arrived so we had taken a few wrong turns before arriving.

Summary: Didn’t get to stay long enough will 100% return. Worth the upgrade of the hot tub especially in the freezing cold it was
